Ellen's POV:
The rest of our lunch was filled with laughter and I practically squealed like a teenager when we left and walked into to Nike store. My inner athlete was at home and I beamed at all the shoes, shirts, and socks that covered the walls.
"After this, we need to go to a girly store," Gemma teased.
"Don't judge me. I love it here," I laughed walking toward the guy's section. That was the only section that had pants and shorts long enough to fit my 39 inch legs.
"Harry's gonna love those on you," she laughed as I picked up a pair of black sweatpants.
"He actually does. Makes my non-existent butt a little better looking." Rolling her eyes and shaking her head as I picked out a few shirts, I diligently searched for something that would look good on Harry as well. Only part of his home coming present. Picking out a long sleeved black shirt, I knew it would accentuate his lean frame.
"Now we can go try to find me some shoes," I teased, walking toward the tennis shoes, praying they had my size. Seeing a display for breast cancer, I squealed in delight at the three pairs of shoes that were men's sizes, but pink and purple. "Finally some freaking pink shoes in my size." I could hear Gemma laugh as I picked out two pairs and held them against my hip.
"If you were as tall as me, you'd understand."
"I'm 5'11! I'm kinda tall." (I know she's not 5'11 in real life, but give me a break here. Some stuff is gonna be different)
"I'll give you that." Laughing as we walked toward the front to check out, the woman behind the register eagerly smiled at us.
"Hi," I smiled politely.
"Hi," she squealed. Oh god she must've been a fan of Harry's. Looking at her name tag, I found her name to be Harper and groaned at how much it reminded me of him.
"You're dating Harry Styles right?"
"They're engaged," Gemma cut in.
"Oh, right. Sorry," Harper chuckled awkwardly. "It's just so weird to see you in real life."
"Thanks?" I laughed nervously.
"Your total is $463.91." Handing over my check card reluctantly, I cringed as she swiped it. The little bit of money I had stashed from babysitting for my rich neighbors back home and in college had given me a little over $7,000 to come out here with and that was quickly dwindling with the cost of living. Harry had told me to use his card for anything I needed instead of using my own, and I rarely ever did. Only once did I use it when I left my wallet on our dining room table and I needed gas. I may or may not have gotten a candy bar too, but I only spent $8.00. I told him that I didn't feel comfortable using his card and he just chuckled, shaking his head.
"Can I take a picture with you?" she beamed, snapping me from my thoughts.
"Um, sure," I nodded awkwardly. Handing her phone to Gemma she walked from behind the counter and wrapped her arms loosely around my waist. Smiling as Gemma took a few pictures, I finally let go and the short girl teared up.
"Thank you so much," she beamed.
"No problem." Chuckling lightly as I grabbed the two bags from the counter.
"Have a great day!" she called as we headed toward the door.
"You too!" Gemma and I called back in unison. Immediately, my phone began to blow up with notifications. Opening my Instagram, I cringed at the picture. I looked fat.
Just freaking met @harrystyles' fiancé @ellennotdegeneres and his sister took this picture! #omfg #1Daf #ermahgherd #bestdayofmylife #sheissopretty
The picture had already gotten 36 likes and I had follow requests pouring in. Liking the photo, I closed the app and put my phone back in my pocket before putting the bags in the back of the car and walking across the street toward H & M. Walking inside, Gemma and I perused the clothes, her having no problem finding dresses and pants of appropriate lengths. However, I couldn't find anything that didn't say "here's my who-ha!" Finally deciding on a few tops, a couple pairs of earrings, and a black, lace romper, I followed behind Gemma to check out.
Getting back to the house after four more stores and prices that made me cringe, my legs were officially sore. Pulling into the driveway and opening the garage door, I almost screamed at Harry's car parked next to me.
"Guess he came a little early," Gemma beamed. "See you tomorrow, love. Good luck." Kissing my cheek lightly before getting out and getting her bags from the back, she gave a tiny wave before I closed the garage door and quickly got out to get my bags. Taking a deep breath, I tried not to freak out. Walking inside, I held my breath as I searched for him. Making my way into the kitchen, I dropped my bags and ran toward the man I loved more than anything on earth. Our bodies collided and I felt hot tears being to automatically run down my face.
My legs wrapped around his waist and my grip was tighter than spandex on him. His hair had stayed the same beautiful, long, length and I smiled at the slight stubble I felt on his cheek. My eyes closed as we stood there, holding each other and I tried to not let him know I was crying. I pulled back a little bit, wiping at my face and his jade eyes met mine. Running my fingers through his soft hair, I was almost scared to kiss him. Setting me on my feet, he chuckled and I took a shaky breath. His index finger lifted my face to his and our lips finally met.
It was like fireworks. My heart was pounding against my ribs and I couldn't comprehend what was going on. Pulling away, his fingers brushed my cheeks and his smile widened.
"How's my beautiful girl?" he murmured, his voice deeper and raspier than I ever remembered.
