"Ashton!" I squealed, hearing the familiar beep of a video go off.

"Say something funny," he giggled.

"Well, I can't see the humor in this."

"Original.

"Whatever."

"She loves you, Styles!" he blurted out quickly and I heard the video begin to play back.

"Ashton. You better not fucking send that to him. What if I look ugly?" I groaned.

"If you did, I would tell you, and too late."

"You're such a child."

"You know you love me."

"Sadly," I teased.

"Here comes the food," he chuckled and I could smell the asparagus. Feeling around for the plate in front of me. I cautiously grabbed my knife and began to cut my steak.

"This is heavenly," I hummed as I chewed into the meat.

"I haven't had this in so long, oh my god. So good," Ashton replied and we both began to laugh. Finishing our lunch, I carried my food and a tea back to the car and quickly got inside, turning on the air conditioner.

"What's the rush, Elle bell?" Ash chuckled and the car began to move.

"Nothing, my phone is dying, I think. Just wanna get home and charge it," I shrugged.

"Well, it's on 94 percent. I think we're okay. I wanted to take you shopping."

"Like Walmart or something?"

"No," he laughed. "Not Walmart. Like, the mall and downtown."

"I could deal with going to the mall. I'm too tall to fit into anything downtown."

"Last time I checked, you fit into Brooks Brothers."

"That was before you left and I shot up to 6'9. My legs are inappropriately long,"I chuckled and felt the knobs for the radio, turning it on.

"You're beautiful. Don't let anybody ever tell you differently," Ashton cooed and kissed my cheek.

"You and Blakely are the only ones who think that. Calum isn't home enough."

"Calum's in college. I wouldn't expect him to be, but he does love you. We all do. Out of the three if us, you're our baby sister. We'll always love you and fight for you."

"I need to learn how to fight for myself."

"I think you've got that covered."

"Please," I scoffed.

"Elle bell, just don't worry about it. Whatever you do in life, you're gonna succeed. Remember how much you loved swimming and the beach?"

"That was when I didn't feel like I was drowning outside the water."

"Why do you think you're drowning?" he asked as we took a right turn.

"I've been in the dark my whole life. There's no light."

"Do you even know how people look at you? I'm telling you Ellen, guys like you. You're gorgeous and have a great personality. They're just afraid to talk to you."

"And how would you know? You've been modeling and photographing your way across Europe for the past five years," I snapped, a little frustrated.

"That didn't mean I didn't keep up with things in America. Blakely and I talk more than you think," he chuckled and pulled to a stop.

"Are we at the mall?"

"C'mon, we're going to Victoria's Secret first so you can get stuff to sweep Mr. Styles off his feet," Ashton teased.

"Ashton! Oh my god," I laughed, opening my door. This was going to be a long day.
