x20 the day I tried to live

*5 months later*

it's been 5 months after we killed julian and so much has happened

we found out caroline was pregnant with jo's kids , she was already pregnant when me and kai came back but nobody said anything because they thought kai would kill the kids so she had a witch to hide her belly for the month me and kai were here but she told us after we killed julian that's she's been pregnant for 4 months already.

kai didn't care , I was shocked but I get why she wouldn't tell us anything but she's about 9 months and is at the hospital right now and me and kai are getting ready to go see her

"which outfit"I ask kai and he points to the red one

"that one is hot"kai says and I laugh

"it's literally not even hot , it's an oversized shirt"I say and he shrugs

"what can I say? , you look hot in everything"he says

"yea yea go change kai"I say and he gives me a thumbs up and goes to the closest

I changed and wait for kai downstairs

i hear my phone go off and it was stefan calling me

"it's caroline , I walked in and her body was desiccating, the baby's are siphoning her "stefan says worried

"oh my god , I'm coming don't worry , I'm on my way stefan"I say and hang up and grab the keys and see kai walking downstairs and I grab him

"did something happen"kai asks as I start the car and rush out the driveway

"it's caroline , the baby's are siphoning her and she's slowly desiccating"I say and his eyes widen

"oh shit"he says and in no time we arive in the hospital and go to the floor caroline was staying at and see stefan pacing back in forth

"stefan , we are here"I say and he sighs and hugs me

"can you do something kai? , your a siphon"stefan says and kai looks at caroline

"I've never seen this before , I don't even know if I can"he says as a group of nurses go into the room

"they are gonna do surgery on her , c-section"stefan says and I nod

"did you guys stop the desiccation?"kai asks and stefan nods as valarie walks in

"I knew she was sick, but I left anyway. It almost killed her."stefan says and sighs

"And what were you going to do? allow Damon to get his head ripped off in a bloody fight ring? Your brother needed you"valarie says

"damon doesn't care about anyone or anything. He made that exceptionally clear yesterday to us"I tell valarie

"Have you talked to anyone else about what he did to Elena?"valarie asks me and stefan and kai

"no"me and kai say

"entire drive home, I was trying...to figure out a way to tell caroline and I just couldn't find the words."stefan says

"Look, right now, all you need to worry about is inside that room. Caroline's going to have the babies. Everything will be fine and all this will be over"valarie says and stefan sighs and nods

the doctors are preparing for Caroline's c-section in the operating room

The surgeon tries to cut open caroline's body but the heart rate monitor shows all three of their heart rates increasing to dangerous levels. The scalpel is being stopped by magic
