BETRAYAL
Oh, why, oh why the need to do this has fallen upon you?
Hiding away all your thoughts, all the actions, all the words you could have said
You thought it wouldn't hurt because as they say 'Ignorance is bliss'
Did you ever give thought to what would happen if the knowledge came out?
Because, sadly and unfortunately it had come out.
Forgiveness is nothing new...one may forgive but forgetting is hard
How does the mind forget?
How would the heart heal?
Because wounds of betrayal run deep
It isn't the enemy who has betrayed, it's the close ones, the friends
Enemies can't betray because betrayal comes with closeness, love, care and memories
Enemies come with hatred, dislike, unpleasantness not with what is engraved in the heart
Betrayal is like knife sliced through your body
It stabs, it hurts, it leaves a big hole, it can change everything in a matter of time
It destroys families, friendships, ties that took years to complete
It destroys everything in a fraction of a second, in a heart stopping, frozen moment in time
What does one gain from it?
Why does one play with trust?
Why does one feel the need to lie, to hide, to betray?
Why are humans so confusing?
That they destroy everything in their wake with one action, one word, one hesitation
A minute thing, a object that can only be seen by a microscope can destroy the thick knots in the cord of trust and love
A life built cautiously, carefully can destroy like a house destroys during an earthquake
The pieces lay shining like shards of glass and it's up to them to pick them up again
Agonizingly, slowly, bravely to start again with the deep scar and to push it behind in the darkest corners of the mind.
Do you know how hard it is?
Do you know how much it takes to tuck it away?
It can come back again with a strong force at unexpected moments
Because a scar can never be truly healed.

This is my very first chapter and poem in Imagine. So...this was kinda dark...
Being betrayed is a painful thing...so my sympathies to all out there who have been betrayed. Do not try to betray anyone..try as much as you can to avoid betraying people because it can destroy a lot.
