Words Left, No Time

There was so much I wanted to say

There was so much I tried to say

There was so much you did not hear

And there's so much more you'll never hear now.

5 years. 5 years ago, your life changed

And we were shattered, seeing your smile trying to be as bright as before

You tried hard, you fought for us,

You tried to be who you were.

The journey was not easy for you,

It was not easy for us,

But no matter how much pain you went through,

Your personality never changed.

You were still the same old, crazy, funny, sarcastic person

With mischief gleaming in your eyes,

You were still that person who'd bang the drumsticks on the table,

And create a new tone, create another rhythm.

It might have made you physically weak,

It might have stolen your beautiful, long, hair

Yet, it could not change who you were,

It could not challenge your mental equilibrium.

We thought we had time,

We thought that maybe you'll jump over this hurdle,

Thus, we kept some words within us,

Seeking for the right time to spit them all out.

But...life has a funny way of showing us things,

And one day, we find you gone,

You no more exist here, you've crossed over to the other realm

And the words we treasured had no more 'right time' to come out.

The person who was supposed to hear many things,

Only heard half of them, you went away without knowing all what we were to tell,

Today, we stand here- words on lips but no ear to hear

Tears have long dried but the void in our hearts will forever stay.

What I've learnt now is that,

There's no 'right time', no 'wrong time'

If we have something to say, just spit it out at any instance

Because we never know, if there'll ever be another chance to ever talk again.

Hey readers,

Sorry for the long break. My exams are over, so I'm back to writing again. And I have to update 'NYE' but I've got to read it all over to get the plot back into my head and get my creativity to flow in.

So how did you enjoy this piece? I wrote the first half of this sometime back but never got the chance to complete it...so here it is!

Based on a true incident =( Just remember, please don't wait for the 'right time' to say anything, just grab whatever opportunity comes because you never know when the next time may come. Life is just so unpredictable and death has no age, no prior warning.

Stay safe and healthy everyone!
