8. THE NERD
A girl with glasses, with perfect grades,
A girl who laughs at every single joke
Someone who's clueless, who's ignorant
The person who people address as the Nerd.
Well versed in Science,
Frets about her grades,
She keeps a brave front
Whilst inside she is a volcano of emotions.
She's sweet and helps out anyone
Which is advantageous to all but no one is there for her
She is a person who is stuck between
Being who she really is and who people want her to be.
She is a bright soul on her own
But right now, she's a shell
She's what people expect her to be
Because that's what the society wants.
Her smile isn't genuine, her eyes show no feeling
Her actions are all robotic, her emotions buried underneath
Her heart is frozen, her brain is shut down
Slowly she hated who she became.
Now she has no choice, but she is waiting
For the day she can finally spread her wings
Pull herself free from this mess and go away
Without looking at those who moulded her into who they think she is.

Yeah, there's a lot of angst that is getting freed. There are too many inspirational quotes to become who we are but does the society really give us a place to be who we are? Not really...we all have to wait until that one day we finally can be who we want to be and that journey isn't easy but it's worth every single second and pain.
