Brown eyes, wind swept hair, cute smile
A picture of perfection but flaws can be seen
So you are a picture of beautiful imperfection
You seem to hold yourself high and turn heads when you walk through
Nobody has ever struck my heart
And though I've seen you a hundred times
Something shifted one day
And suddenly I see you in a new light
I want to know who you are
Though I already know your name
I want to know how you struck my heart
When nobody ever came close
It didn't take anything at all
You just had to be in my line of vision
And suddenly I feel so light
I just feel like I wanna fly
Because you are right here
You don't have to do a single thing because you captured my heart easily
Unfortunately for me, you never notice
You don't understand there's a girl stealing looks at you
You aren't blind in reality but you're blind to what's in front of you
I know it's not highlighted in neon but I wish you'd the see how I light up
Like the sun on a hot afternoon when I see you
It doesn't take anything except your presence
But I know I am not your type
And you'd never notice because you don't really look around
You just stick with your crowd or be by yourself
And I can never walk in to your web because I am scared of opinions
Humans thrive on opinions and views
There are some who are brave and take the shot
But I am sorry I am not one of them and cannot try to be either
I change when I see you, to a confident person to a meek one
It's a mess I know, but hope is one thing that keeps me pursuing
One day, there's hope you'll finally notice
Or I'll finally do what I should have done
Because you are the person who stole my heart
And I want to know who you are, inside and out.
Dear Readers,
So how was this poem? The first lovey-dovey one I've written. I guess the love in the air due to Valentines' Day must have caught up with me.... =P So...who's having a date this Valentine? And who is single? *raises hand* Have fun with your dates and those who are single...let's have fun with Wattpad, TV, Internet etc...
This was kinda in the middle of light and dark poems nah??? =)
