Should I tell her that I like her ? ..but I don't want to make things weird for us ,Junaid kept contemplating.
Hey hey ..what are you thinking about ..Nayla bumped into my room and jumped on my bed squishing my face .Mom had been looking for you to run an errand for her and you're no where to be found ..she restated .
" Leave me alone you little psycho " ..I muttered
At Aneesa's place ,I had so much fun I haven't had for years ..I mean since I broke up with my girlfriend back then ,I've never liked any other girl ,but here I'm crushing on my little sister's bestiee..how has my life came to this ..I muttered out of guilt .Nayla is going to kill me ..I mean I can't be crushing on her friend right ,it's going to be so weird ..I can remember the time I use to pick up both of them from summer classes when Aneesa moved to Bauchi .She used to be her best friend at 12th grade before they both secured admission at NEU (Near East University)Cyprus .
Anyways ,I think I'm gonna ask her out ..how hard could it be ,Nayla will be mad at me for couple of days probably for not telling her I like her friend ..I think I can handle her ..I assumed not minding her hands on my cheeks ..
"I've been here for more than 5 minutes and you're ignoring me" ..Nayla announced pouting her face
"Sorry I'm thinking about something" ..I uttered removing her hands from my cheeks
"Well I want to tell you about a new guy I've been talking to lately"..she stated raising her left eyebrows
"Ohhh we've got a new crush" ...I stated trying not to laugh
"I'm serious this time around ,he's talking about marriage bruhhh"...she muttered
"I thought you said you're not getting married until you're done with medical school" I protested
Anyways what's his name I asked ...well his name is Sudais ,he's 28 ,he works at FIRS(federal inland revenue service) and he's from Maiduguri ..Nayla declared .
"Let me show you a picture .." she proclaimed
Wait this guy looks familiar ..I can't remember where exactly I met him but he surely looks like someone that I know .Anyways tell me how you feel about him ..I asked her
"I kind of like him but I've to be with him a little longer to understand the kind of person he is ".she stated
You know just be careful okay ,you're a beautiful young lady which every man will be lucky to have in his life ,you are worth it and I will like you to set boundaries in every aspect of your life okay ...I said hugging my little sister who can be very annoying at times .
"Thankyou ya Junaid" she said walking towards the door
Don't forget to switch off my lights dummy ...I muttered .Immediately she left ,I took out my phone ,switched back my lights on and messaged Aneesa .
"Can we FaceTime madam ?"....I asked
"Sure thing"....she replied
Immediately ..I changed the kaftan I was wearing to my PSG jersey ,wore my shorts and then retired to my bed to call her .
She picked at the 3rd ring and used her veil to cover the camera spot .
"Ya Allah ..if you don't want me to see your face then why did you answered at the first place "..I asked shaking my head
"Well I look so ugly that's why" ...she replied
"Well I don't care just let me see your face"..I protested
"Ughh she pouted" ..removing her veil from the camera spot
What's wrong with girls ..no one can understand them ,literally nobody ..she looked so beautiful in her pink pajamas with her black veil tied across her head .What more does she want..I reasoned
"Ohh Aneesaaa..okay tell me what you want to look like" ...I asked
"If a person could look as beautiful as this and still thinks it's not enough ..then I should be scared of that person" ...I proclaimed teasing her
"You better be ..because I can be very scary"..she uttered laughing at me
"So how are you doing" ..I asked in my husky deep voice
"I'm good Alhamdulillah"...she answered
"So what's up with the guy that called you earlier ,hope everything is fine" ..she asked solicitous
"It's just a minor business issue and I've got it under control" I vented
"So when are you guys resuming to school" ..I asked her sounding like a big brother ..yes I'm ,I mean I graduated from school two years back so yeah...
"Next month" .. she declared
You're really enjoying this summer holiday ..I proclaimed..I mean look at how your skin is glowing and your cheeks are becoming chubbier too .Same thing goes to Nayla ,she has been visiting this hammam "spa" for skin care ,pedicure,and manicure .I'm tired of seeing you peoples faces ,you better head back to school so we can finally rest ..I uttered jokingly .
"Dughhh if you're tired of seeing my face then why did you visited me earlier"...she announced shaking her head
"Haaann so because I visited you...you think I'm interested in looking at your face" I asked sarcastically.
"Obviously".....she muttered confidently
"Well in that case ,I'll have to take you guys back to school my self"... I announced shaking my head
"Hhhhhhh you can't" ......she responded .
Ya Junaidddd I can't sleep ..Nayla bumped into my room unannounced.
"Wait am I hearing Aneesa's voice" ..she stated looking confused
"No no"..I stuttered when she jerked my phone hastily
"Aneeesaaaaaaaa!!!!!! ...okay will someone explain to me what's going on"
"Someone better start talking" ...she proclaimed
"Give me back my phone dummy" ...I yelled
"So my brother and my bestiee are in a relationship all this while and they both hid it from me"....Nayla announced trying not to cry
"Nayla Junaid and I are not dating .." Aneesa stated trying to console her
"Even if we are what's your business"...I uttered acting like the big brother I'm
"Junaiddd stop" ...Aneesa yelled
"Nayla I'm so sorry ,I didn't mean to hide anything from you..junaid and I are not dating"...Aneesa proclaimed
"Then why are you guys video chatting at night ...do you think am stupid"...Nayla protested
All of you should calm down ,I'm not ready for all this girly girly drama ..I yelled .Aneesa is not my girlfriend Nayla .We're just in good terms with each other ..there's nothing intimate between us .And with that ,she calmed down and joined the video call ..It's obvious that she doesn't trust us but she played along anyways .
I love Nayla I really do...since we lost our father .I'm more like a brother and a father to her ,I mean I'm the only person she disturbs whenever she's broke ,I'm her unpaid driver and even most importantly...her advisor .If Nayla doesn't really want Aneesa and I to be together ..I really can give up on that ..yes she means that much to me !
