Alexis's POV

I was in my room with the TV on. I was watching the news as Nadia Chamack is telling everyone about the music festival going on today.  And I'm so excited because Adrien and I are going to see our friends as they do their concert.

"I'm so excited, Blitz. I can't believe Adrien's dad is letting us go," I said.

"I know. I'm happy for you," Blitz told me.

"Now all I have to do is wait for Adrien to finish up his piano lesson with his dad. Let's just hope he does well," I then said.

And right after I said that, I got a notification on my phone. I look and see that it was a text from Adrien. I open it up and read what he said.

Adrien: Bad news. Father is not letting us go see our friends. I messed up a little on my piano lesson and Father wants me to continue practicing.

After I read that, my heart almost stopped. This was going to be our chance to go see our friends outside of school. Especially Nathaniel.

Because I've been living with Adrien, I was really able to go out that often, and the only time I would see Nathaniel is when we're at school. I guess we're not going.

I then text back.

Alexis: Oh, wow. That sucks. We could always sneak out if you want.

After I sent the text, I look at Blitz.

"We're not going. Adrien's dad won't let us go," I told her with a bit of sadness.

"Oh, I'm so sorry, Alexis. I know how much this meant to you. Especially since you wanted to see Nathaniel again," Blitz told me with sympathy.

"It's fine. I mean, there could always be another time in the future," I said as I felt my phone buzz. I look and see it a replied text from Adrien.

Adrien: No, it's fine. I don't want my father to come and look for us.

I understood, so I texted back.

Alexis: Okay. That's fine.

My attention then went back on my TV, where Nadia Chamack was speaking in the news.

"For this year's National Music Festival, the city hall has organized numerous free concerts featuring big stars in some pretty prestigious locales! We're joined by our Mayor, Andre Bourgeois. If you will, please tell us about the line-up!" Nadia said just as Mayor Bourgeois showed up.

"Well, XY will be performing at the Place de la Concorde, Laura Nightingale at the Louvre, the Philharmonic Orchestra outside City Hall, and Mr. Jagged Stone at the Eiffel Tower! And lets not forget the many concerts and gigs given by the people of Paris across the city!" Mayor Bourgeois explained.

"This is likely going to be the most incredible music festival since the first one was held, right here, in Paris, in 1982. I'm Nadia Chamack. Tune in here, to hear more tunes," Nadia said.

I then look down, knowing that I won't be able to see all of that in person.

"Well at least I could look on the news if I ever want to hear tunes. Or I could just listen to music on my phone," I stated.

Timeskip

After some time in my room as I sketch in my sketchbook while listening to music, I heard that the news was still on. But something caught my attention.

"Paris is yet again under attack. A new villain is destroying all the music festival concerts one by one. Please take shelter as soon as possible," Nadia Chamack explained as the TV showed a video clip of a pirate ship going down the river with an Akumatized villain who looks like a pirate.
