Alexis's POV

Today at school, Marinette's dad came over to our class and is giving us some pastry lessons while he makes some macaroons. I know I'm enjoying it. Because baking looks fun.

And just as Marinette left the class to go put the batter in the school cafeteria fridge, the fire alarm went off. I didn't know if it was just a fire drill or if there was a real fire. So I followed the whole class down the stairs and into the main area of the school.

But as some time past, Mr. Damocles came back with the firefighter captain. I was beyond confused as I stood beside Adrien.

"So, some smart aleck had the bright idea of calling the fire department!" Mr. Damocles told every student.

We all then looked at each other a bit confused. But for me on the other hand, I have a feeling it has to do with Chloe. I mean, she was complaining in the class about baking earlier.

"Somebody among us thought it would be funny to waste the fire captain's valuable time!" Mr. Damocles then announced.

"Yes, in fact, if you wouldn't mind, I--" The fire captain started saying as he was about to leave, but was cut off by Mr. Damocles.

"Hold on! I want the guilty party to apologize to you," Mr. Damocles said.

I then look behind me at Chloe, wondering if she did do it.

"Do you think Chloe did it?" I asked Adrien in a whispering tone.

"Who knows. It could have been anyone," Adrien whispered back.

"Mr. Damocles, sir?" Chloe spoke up.

"Yes, Miss Bourgeois?" Mr. Damocles asked.

"I saw a student leaving the classroom right before the alarm went off. It must have been her," Chloe stated.

"Really? Who was it?" Mr. Damocles then asked.

"Let's see if she'll come clean. What do you say, Marinette Dupain-Cheng?" Chloe then said while looking at Marinette.

That can't be right! She went to do what her father told her to do!

"Marinette, do you have something to tell the firefighter captain?" Mr. Damocles asked her.

I knew I had to stand up for Marinette. Chloe shouldn't be blaming people like this.

"Wait, Mr. Damocles. It couldn't have been Marinette. Why would she disrupt her dad's cooking class?" I stated.

"And I know for a fact that Marinette didn't even have her phone on her when she went out of the classroom," Alya then defended for her.

"Mr. Damocles, I must be heading--" The fire captain told him, but was cut off by our principle.

"Just one more second! We're very close to discover the truth!" Mr. Damocles stated.

"Well, we all know it can't be me," Chloe then stated.

"I'm not gonna let her get away with this. I've gotta tell--" I heard Marinette whisper to Alya until Adrien joined in on the conversation.

"Hang on, Marinette. We don't know for sure that it was her," Adrien then whispered to her.

"He's right. Let's not stoop to her level," Alya then states.

"I really have to leave now. Just call me if you find out who the prankster is," The fire captain said as he started leaving, but was stopped by Mr. Damocles.

"Fine! Since no one is owning up, the whole school will be punished!" Mr. Damocles announced.

I was so shocked to here him say that. So was everyone else.
