Alexis's POV

I'm inside the secret room that's behind my bookshelf as I'm still trying to figure out where my sister is. I'm on my phone as I'm looking at an old news video about the fire that occurred in the mansion when my mom died.

As I'm watching, I'm trying to look in the background of the video to see if I can find any clue if my sister was there when it happened.

"You still won't give up," Blitz stated.

"I can't give up now. I'm so close to finding her. I just know it," I told Blitz.

"But who knows how long it will take for you to find your sister. It could take months. Maybe even years," Blitz stated.

I let out a sigh as I leaned back on my chair and put my phone flat on the table in front of me.

"No matter what... I won't give up," I stated.

All of a sudden, I hear someone enter my room. I stay quiet, not knowing if it was Adrien or someone else.

"Alexis. We have to get ready for Marinette's birthday today," I heard Adrien say on the other side of the bookshelf.

Oh shoot! Today is her birthday! I almost forgot!

To be honest... I did forget.

"I'm coming," I said as I opened the bookshelf door as Blitz went in my pocket. I then look at Adrien. "I'm ready when you are."

Timeskip

We made it to the party. It's a little past 4 'o clock. Alya was supposed to bring Marinette here a little while ago, but I won't rush her.

Not long after that, Alya showed up with Marinette wearing a blindfold. And once she took off the blindfold, Marinette sure looked surprised.

I could tell she was going to like her party. After all, everyone from our class is here. So she should like it.

Each present she got, the more she looked happy. This actually made me happy. Seeing a friend happy always puts a smile on my face because I know that they're not in the same situation I am in.

This made me stop and think about finding my sister. I look around, not expecting to see a mysterious girl that kind of looks like me.

I then look down, thinking about my future, when I do find my sister. I hope it won't make my life change.

I then snap out of my thoughts when I hear Adrien speak.

"Happy birthday, Marinette," Adrien told Marinette as he gave her her present.

I look at Marinette's expression and she looked speechless. I don't know why though.

"Open it, Marinette!" I heard Alya whispered to her.

But before she could, we all heard an unfamiliar voice singing, like it was coming from above us.

"La Befana comes at night, on her shaky broom in flight. She gives out candy, to those who are dandy," Sang the unfamiliar voice.

We all look up and saw what looked like an Akumatized victim riding on a flying motor-broom. She then jumps down and lands in front of Marinette.

"Grandma?" Marinette questions.

"You lied to your grandma, Marinette," The Akumatized victim told her.

Adrien and I looked at each other, knowing what is going on and what to do. We quickly sneak out of that scene and hide behind a bush. We then peak out and see what's happening.
