Alexis's POV

So, today is Parent's Career Day at school and I'm outside the class with Adrien while he was trying to call his father. Gabriel Agreste didn't answer and went straight to voicemail. So Adrien left a message.

"Hi, Father, it's me. It's Parent's Career Day at school, remember? I was hoping you were gonna show up. Call me back," Adrien said, and then hung up.

"You okay, Adrien?" I asked.

"Yeah. Nothing new," Adrien said with sadness. I really felt bad for him.

We then walked back into class just as Marinette's father was done presenting what he does for his career. I went over to my seat next to Nathaniel. He was doing some sketches.

Once I sat down, he winked at me and I smiled at him.

Ever since we confessed our feelings for each other, he has always been treating me nicely. And I like it.

"Marinette will come around and pass out some croissants baked fresh this morning," Mr. Dupain said as Marinette started passing croissants to us.

After that, I started to dose off and just think about how my life is going so far.

So far, my life has increased and has gotten better. I got a Miraculous on the first day of school, I got a new home and a friend that treats me like their sibling, I found a boy that loves me, and I even found out I have a sister. I just wonder where she is. I also wish my parents were here. It's not the same without them.

My thoughts we then interrupted when I heard the sound of someone falling.

I look up and see Marinette on the floor with croissants spread around the floor. It looked like she tripped on Chloe's bag.

"Jeez! Is there a day where you're not tripping over something?" Chloe asked.

I was mad at Chloe. How can she be so rude to people?

Like before, I didn't pay that much attention to the next adult, who was Sabrina's father, Officer Roger. But I did pay attention when Chloe spoke all of a sudden.

"My bracelet, it's gone! I had it a second ago," Chloe said. She then gasps in realization as she looks at Marinette. "You, you stole it!"

"What are you talking about?" Marinette asked.

"You purposely tripped on my bag so you could steal my bracelet. You're a policeman, arrest her," Chloe said as she looked at Officer Rogers for the last part.

"My daughter is not a thief," Mr. Dupain said.

Officer then gets everyone's attention by blowing his whistle.

"Hold on a minute, Miss Bourgeois. We don't accuse without proof. Now everyone calm down please. Maybe you simply misplaced your bracelet," Officer Rogers explained.

I agree with him.

"You're calling me a liar? Daddy!" Chloe then said.

Cheater.

"Roger, I demand you search this girl," Mayor Bourgeois told him.

"Please, everybody," Ms. Bustier tried to calm everyone down.

"Need I remind you that as mayor of the city, I am your superior," Mayor Bourgeois told Officer Rogers.

"But it's against the law. I can't just go..." Officer Rogers started to say, but was cut off by the Mayor.

"Alright, then you're no longer a police officer," Mayor Bourgeois said.

What?! He can't do that!
