Alexis's POV

Right now, I was in Ms. Mendeleive class while writing down notes. But as I was writing down notes, in the corner of my eye, I noticed Nathaniel drawing in his sketchbook again.

I know Ms. Mendeleive doesn't like it when he draws in his sketchbook during class, so that's why I don't do it in mine during class. I know if I don't warn Nathaniel, then he'll get in big trouble.

But before I could tell him to stop drawing before Ms. Mendeleive notices it, she slams her hand on the table and caught his attention.

"Nathaniel! What are you drawing?" Ms. Mendeleive asked Nathaniel.

"Wh-wh..." Nathaniel started stuttering.

She then rips a page from Nathaniel's sketchbook.

"And these artistic endeavors are clearly why you are failing science," Ms. Mendeleive told him.

"I'm sorry," Nathaniel apologized.

"You go march yourself down to the principal's office and show him that chicken scratch! Then you'll be really sorry," Ms Mendeleive told Nathaniel.

I felt really sorry for him, especially since I was starting to be friends with him. But do I really see him as a friend?

I then watch as Nathaniel trips over someone's backpack and drops his sketchbook.

That's gotta hurt.

Chloe then picks up the sketchbook and starts looking at his drawings.

"Ooh, look Sabrina. It's him as a superhero. And look who he's saving. It's Alexis," Chloe said. That shocked me. "He's totally crushing on you, Alexis."

"Give me that," Nathaniel said as he snatched his sketchbook out of Chloe's hands while blushing.

"Enough, Nathaniel, go!" Ms. Mendeleive told him. 

I then watch as Nathaniel walks out of the classroom.

Does Nathaniel really love me?

It was already to the end of class and I was still worried about Nathaniel.

"The next particle physics presentation group is Nino, Adrien, and Alya," Ms Mendeleive said. Nino and Adrien fist pump each other after they heard they were going to be with each other.

"So lucky," I heard Marinette say.

"And then Sabrina, Chloe, and Marinette," Ms. Mendeleive said.

I could tell that Marinette did not like that.

"Uh, Miss. Can't you add her to another group? Sabrina and I work much better on our own," Chloe asked.

"This is a group presentation, not pairs. Deal with it," Ms. Mendeleive told Chloe.

Get wrecked, Chloe.

The bell then rings and we gather our things and exit the classroom.

I just wonder how Nathaniel is holding up.

Timeskip

I was in the Library and getting some ideas for the project. I had Nathaniel and Alix in my group. Nathaniel is not here because he went to the principal's office, of course. And Alix is not here because she needed to do something after school. I didn't mind because I like doing all of the work for every group project.

As I was getting ideas, in the background I could hear Chloe and Marinette bickering about who-knows-what. Right now, I was just trying to focus on the project.
