Alexis's POV

I did not like school. It was horrible. Want to know why?

Flashback:

It was lunch time and I was sitting down on a table by myself, as usual. I then looked around and saw everyone chatting with each other.

I have memorized the names of every student in my class. That's good at least. But I didn't know what was going to happen today.

Just as I finished my lunch, in the corner of my eye, I saw Chloe, along with Sabrina, take my backpack from me.

"Oh, I wonder what you're carrying inside your backpack. I bet it's a lot of useless things that you don't even need," Chloe said.

Oh, no. If she looks inside, then she'll see Blitz. I can't let her look in there.

"Give it back!" I said as I tried to reach for my backpack, but I couldn't since Chloe held it above me.

Why do I have to be a short twelve-year-old?

"What are you going to do about it? Call your mommy and daddy?" Chloe asked me.

Did she just mention my parents?

My heart started beating harder as I tried to get my backpack. Almost everyone were crowding around us and were watching. Some kids are either watching or recording the scene. Even Alya was recording for her blog. I head so much about it.

"Well, your parents can't do anything about it because I can have you're parents fired from their job," Chloe started telling me.

She better be quiet right now. If not, I'll...

"I can even have them and you move out of Paris if I wanted to. All I have to do is tell my daddy about it," Chloe continued talking.

If she mentions something bad about my parents again, I swear to God, I'm going to snap!

"You're parents are useless. I bet they wished they never had you," Chloe lastly said.

That's it.

"I HAVE NO PARENTS!!"

Smooth, Alexis. Very smooth.

Everyone around us gasped after what I said. I didn't want to get involved with this anymore.

I quickly snatched my backpack from Chloe and ran out of the school. Tears were already falling out as I was running.

Once I made it to the alleyway, I just sat down and started crying.

After I started to calm down, I opened my backpack and allowed Blitz to fly out. She then flies over to me and hugs my cheek.

"I'm so sorry for you, Alexis. I can't believe Chloe actually did that to you," Blitz told me.

"Well, they were going to find out sooner or later," I mumbled to her as I looked down. "But maybe she's right."

"What do you mean?" Blitz asked.

"I don't think my dad liked me. Maybe that's why he was always so mean to me," I stated.

"You may be right about that, but at least you had a mother that loved you," Blitz then told me.

Now that I stop and think about it, I guess she's right.

"I guess you're right," I told her. I the look in the direction of my school. "I don't think I'm going to go back for the rest of today," I told her.
