二六：Blooming of Feelings

Qiao Ze's POV:

What? She broke up with me? Was I too controlling? I was just jealous. I can't believe she did that?!

I'll give her a call tomorrow when she has a cool head.

The next day, I walked to school and on the way, I called Zhou Jia.

She answered with an annoyed tone.

(On call with Qiao Ze and Zhou Jia)

Me: Hello. I want to explain myself.

Zhou Jia: Okay. Go ahead. I have limited time.

Me: Well, I don't think I was too controlling. I guess I was just jealous of the guys on your team. It just seems like you hang out with them a lot more than me.

Zhou Jia: Their my teammates, my friends, my second family. I can'y hangout with all 25/8 of the day because you want to. I have a life too and sometimes I need to be alone.

Me: I see. Well, do you want to stay friends?

Zhou Jia: Sure. I have to go bye

Me: Bye...

She hanged up as I just walked to school thinking about what she said. Why didn't she tell me that?

Ugh, she clearly doesn't have the feelings anymore.

Maybe she liked someone else while we were dating. I don't know. Well, there's no reason why I should be thinking of this now. We've broke up.

At practice, I wasn't as pumped as I usually am and Guan Yue immediately noticed it. Of course.

" Why are you so down Qiao Ze?" He asked me as I internally rolled my eyes.

" Just stressed." I told him as I could tell he's probably still suspicious.

" Hmm okay." He replied as I got back to what I was doing. 

It seemed like Zhou Yu didn't know about the break up. Did she tell her brother's? I wonder.

Your POV:

Test day is here, as I just want to get this done over with. I hope the boys studied enough. If not then...they can't compete.

I told my parents about my break up as they comforted me. Once I broke the news to both of my brothers by saying 'we broke up'. I didn't tell him anything of the confusing thoughts, especially how Yu because he would blabber it to Qiao Ze.

I told the team as I Qiao Chen nodded as he tried to act sad.

Later during practice, I was just practicing with Lu Xia by just passing the ball and doing some drills with him.

As we packed up, our thins were right next to each other and I was about to leave until I felt a gently grip on my shoulder. I turned back to see Lu Xia there. I smiled and gave him my attention.

" Hey, do you want to come over and play more tennis with me?" He asked me as I smiled and nodded.

" Yeah, I really miss hanging out with you when I was dating! He wouldn't like it when I hanged out with you or be especially close with anyone on the team except Peng Xiang and Qi Ying." I quietly said. He just side hugged me as I smiled and hugged him back. 

" When would we do it?" I asked him.

" Hmm, how about after the game tomorrow?" He suggested as I nodded.
