八：Grape Soda

Your POV:

As we started to walk towards the court, this pretty girl came up to us, specially Qiao Chen.

" H-hey Xu Xingzi. I'm playing today, so you better watch me okay." Qiao Chen confidently said as she giggled. I looked at the exchange between them and I could definitely tell that Qiao Chen has heart eyes for her as I smiled.

" Okay, I'll watch you." She responded as I went up to Qiao Chen and patted him on the shoulder. He turned to look at me.

" Qiao Chen, do your best as a substitute." I told him as I waved at Xu Xingzi which she waved. back I met her briefly she she was talking to Peg Xiag and Qi Ying.

" I'm going to get you Jia!" He shouted as I giggled.

" Like Jia said, have fun being a substitute!" He chirped as he patted Qiao Chen's shoulder and followed me. I turned back to look at Qiao Chen who had an embarrassed face. The rest said some words to Qiao Chen as he looked more embarrassed and defeated in front of the girl he likes.

When we regrouped, Qiao Chen lightly shoved me as I laughed.

" Come on, you didn't have to do me like that!" He complained as I giggled again as well as the others. The group continued walking as I pulled Qiao Chen back. He looked at me with curious eyes as he got down to my level so I could whisper in his ear.

" Be honest. Do you like Xu Xingzi?" I asked as I smirked the he blushed a little bit.

" Y-Yes, don't tell her though!" He cried out as we started to move again trying to catch up to the rest of them.

" I'm not gonna do you like that. Why have't you told her?" I ask him as he sighed.

" I don't really know, I feel like she only sees me as a friend and plus her brother is a bit scary." He confessed as I nodded.

" Your right, he is a bit scary when he just stares you down." I said.

" Come on you two!" Zhi shouted as I jogged with Qiao Chen. As we made it up to the check in station as a group.

" What were you guys talking about hmm? Something so secretive that you had to hang back." Jiale whispered to me as he wrapped an arm around my shoulder. I don't really mind his gesture. He does that to everyone.

" Ask Qiao Chen if you must know." I simply said as he huffed and walked over to Qiao Chen and pestered him more.

The game started and I sat next to Lu Xia as he out of no where gave me a grape soda. I raised an eyebrow at this as I looked at him. He just kept his gaze towards the court though.

" Thank you Lu Xia, but why did you give me this?" I asked him. He looked at me a little weird.

" I noticed you didn't have anything to drink, or you didn't buy anything. So I gave you a drink. I you don't want it I could just drink it." He explained as I my mouth made an 'o' shape.

Omg, how sweet of him. I didn't notice that I didn't have a drink with me. Good husband material.

Wait! what am I thinking? I'm to even dating him! He's just my friend and he probably thinks of me as only a friend and assistant/manager. Great. now I'm flustered now and my face is probably all red.

" T-Thank you, Lu Xia. I'll give you something for my thank you." I stated as I opened the soda can and took a sip. I just ignored his resistance to say o to the gift.

Lu Xia's POV:

The only gift that I want is to have her be mine...
