UPDATE: Yeah so I completely lost the drive to finish this story. Mostly due to the fact that all the things I had drafted up for the second part were absolute shit. Sorry to anyone that was hoping for a part 2

So, this is the 10th actual story, and the first two parter! I never thought I'd make it this far, and it's all thanks to all of you! I never dreamed I'd make it this far, even if it really isn't that far. I'm planning on doing something special for the second part of this, but you'll just have to wait and see. ;)

"When the hell can we leave!?"

It was a cold, cold day at the school. Not cold in the sense of "brr", but cold in the sense of "I'm literally going to die if I don't get inside soon". It also didn't help that it was rather early in the day, several hours before school started. It was also snowing. Not heavy snow, by any means, just a light drizzle of snow. It had also snowed the night prior, leaving heaps of the stuff behind. All of these aspects combined, made for a, lets just say, not very pleasant experience for the students standing outside.

Chrom turned around and slowly stepped onto the bus, shivering. A huge wave of heat hit him as he entered. His body untensed, as he looked around the bus. Every other teacher, besides him, was already aboard the bus. Along with Byleth, the principal. "Wh-When the hell is h-he gonna be here?!" Byleth didn't flinch from his laid back position, sitting in the front row seat. "He'll be here soon. Just wait," Byleth put his hands behind his head, and seemed to become more relaxed. "W-Well c-can we at least take sh-shifts?" Chrom was still shivering a little, from the frigid temperatures outside. "Nah, I'm done teaching. That's why I wanted to become principal," Byleth grabbed a pair of sunglasses, and put them on. Chrom slowly turned around, exiting the bus, furious. But all that fury wasn't enough to keep his face warm. "Stupid Byleth and his goddamn promotion!"

Ness and Lucas were standing in a single file line, just like the rest of the kids. They're bags were packed to the brim, stuffed with supplies like toothpaste, clothes, and other basic living essentials. They also had with them small suitcases. They suitcases were packed with clothes, for the most part.

To combat the cold, Ness and Lucas were both wearing quite large and warm jackets. Ness' jacket was quite large, but had one fatal flaw, a lack of a hood. Lucas' did have hood, but lacked the thickness of Ness'. So, due to these factors, both boys were rather cold. "G-Goddamn it! Wh-What are we waiting for!" Lucas to cold to shrug at Ness' complaint. All he could let out were some weak mumbles. Chrom slowly approached the two boys. "Y-You two! Wh-Where are C-Claus and Nin-Ninten," Lucas didn't flinch, mostly because he couldn't. "Th-They went to go build a Snowman o-or someth-thing," Ness turned his head toward Claus and Ninten, who were indeed building a Snowman. Chrom slowly made his way over to Claus and Ninten, who were in a small field nearby.

"No no no...The heads gotta be rounder," Ninten sighed. "I-I tried my best...and plus, all this rolling has made my f-fingers go numb," Ninten crossed his arms, still shivering. Claus gave a worried look, as he made his way over to Ninten. Claus took off his gloves, and handed them to Ninten. "Here. You take them instead," Ninten, slowly, shook his head back anf forth. "N-No...I-I'm not taking your gloves," Ninten's nose was already peachy red. Claus grabbed Ninten's hands, and slid the gloves on. "I got pockets. You don't," Ninten looked down at his jacket. He indeed did not have pockets. "O-Okay...but just this once," Claus slowly slid the gloves on Ninten's hands. They began to warm up, as Ninten clenched and uncleched them. Claus put his hands in his deep pockets. Ninten turned his head and smiled at Claus. "Thanks," Claus smiled back. "No-"

"Boys! Wh-What are y-you doing?!" Chrom was standing there, crossing his arms. Claus shrugged. "Building a Snowman," Chrom seemed silently annoyed. "Wh-Why aren't you in line?" Claus continued to smooth out the head of the Snowman. "Because we've been waiting here for hours...what are we even waiting for?" Chrom sighed. "B-Byleth says we're w-waiting for some ki-,"
