Joaquin and Jaxon originally had their own rooms.
In normal nights, they'd sleep in their rooms. Habang bata pa si Jaxon ay doon muna siya sa kwarto ni Joaquin but in another year or so, he'd get to sleep in his own room.
Pero sa ngayong wala sina Ate ay hindi ako mapalagay na hayaan silang dalawa sa sariling kwarto after we heard that someone from the subdivision was robbed.
After the heavy conversation we had outside, it gave me enough reason to see yet again, an ice wall rise between the both of us.
I had left him with Joaquin in his room so I could check on Jaxon, akala ko'y hindi na siya lalabas pa kaya nagulat ako nang nakita ko siyang sumunod.
As if sensing my gaze, he turned towards me and raised an eyebrow, na tila tinatanong kung bakit ako napatingin.
Unlike his brother, he was very energetic at ngayo'y nakikipaglaro kay Friday na tahimik sanang natutulog sa harap ng coffee table.
Ngayo'y bahagya nang tumatalon-talon si Jaxon dahil naka-pokus na ang camera kay Jordi at sa kasama niyang lalaki as they were being interviewed for being the Players of the Game.
Just before the camera could pan away from them, sumulpot si Amarissa sa gilid at inabutan niya si Jordi ng tubig at the same time she gave the man his own bottle of water.
That may have seemed trivial before, but right now it wasn't.
Was it hard for him to lose her to someone he was always with?
Paniguradong oo.
"Jaxon, it's bed time na," sabi ko na lamang upang maputol ang namumuong tensyon.
Umiling-iling si Jaxon and put on those puppy dog eyes as he turned to Jordi, humihingi ng kakampi.
Jordi chuckled as he held his hand up as if in surrender. "I don't have a say against your Tita, Jaxon."
Itinabi ko na muna ang iPad as I stood up to carry him. Despite his previous opposition to sleep, mabilis siyang nakatulog.
I tried to do this for a few more times before I conceded at bumalik na lamang sa sala habang karga si Jaxon.
Bumalik ako sa pagkakaupo kanina't hinayaang matulog si Jaxon sa aking dibdib as I went through work. Nakalimutan ko kasing sabihin kina Antonio na may gagawin ako this weekend and ever since I arrived, napag-usapan na naming I-sesend niya sa akin ang dapat gawin in these hours so I was still receiving them.
