I let out a low moan, clutching my stomach as I rolled over onto my side.  Everything hurt; I felt like I had had a tree trunk repeatedly rammed into me, like I had been split in half and hastily sewn back together.

What had happened?

My breasts felt especially tender.

Suddenly, I sat straight up, clutching my stomach and mouth, wide-eyed as my stomach let out an ominous gurgle.  I quickly leapt up from the bed, ignoring my mate's protests, making my way for the bathroom.

I nearly feel over Remus as I attempted to jump over him, hand clutched to my mouth as I stumbled towards the bathroom.  I heard a faint "Wazzgoinon," just before I slammed the door shut.

I made it just in time to start puking up what felt like everything I had eaten in the last ten years.  The door quietly opened and I heard the patter of bare feet before I felt someone pull my hair back for me as someone else massaged my back.

When I was finished, I closed the lid and flushed before stumbling to the sink to wash my hands, then brush my teeth.  I felt absolutely disgusting and I was more exhausted than ever.

"Come on Leila," Remus said quietly.  "Let's get you back to bed."

"Is she alright," Coinin whispered worriedly from outside the bathroom.

"Yes Coinin," Remus sighed.  "She was just puking."

"She's not bleeding?"

Another sigh.  "No Coinin, just food poisoning or something," Remus said patiently.

Coinin stuck his head inside then.  "Is it ok if I come inside, Leila?"

I sent a soft smile his way.  "Of course Coinin."  I held out my hand for him to take and he ran over to me, looking me up and down worriedly.

"Are you sure you're alright then?"

"Yes Coinin, thank you," I paused as I took note of how one of my mates was missing.  "Where's Romulus," I quietly asked.

Coinin scratched the back of his neck as he shared an undecipherable look with his brother before letting out a long sigh as he turned back to me.  "The idiot's still sleeping off his hangover," he muttered.

"Oh," I let out in a strained voice, attempting to cover my disappointment.  "Well, let's get back to bed then, shall we," I said in a faux cheerful voice.

"Yeah," Remus said as he gave me a look I couldn't quite read.

They helped me into bed before settling in on either side of me.  I laid my head on Coinin's chest while Remus draped an arm over me.  The last thing I heard as I fell asleep was the low hum of them whispering to one another.

*******

I woke up to sunlight streaming in through the window as Remus played with my hair.

"Morning sleeping beauty," he said softly.

"Morning," I groaned as I stretched.  Satisfied, I turned to lie on my stomach, propping my head up as I looked up at him.  "What time is it," I yawned.

"It's 3:45 PM," he said as he started playing with my hair once more.

My eyes widened at that.  "How could I have slept so late, I never do!"  Just then, my stomache let out a low rumble.

"We'd better get some food in you, yeah?"

I nodded as I snuggled into his side while he called for Suadela.  About five minutes later there was a soft knock at the door.  "You wanted me, Alpha?"

"You can come in," he sighed as he rolled his eyes while pulling the covers up to hide our forms.

She opened the door and entered, eyes immediately falling on me.

"Suadela," Remus snapped as I gave her a weird look.

"Yes Alpha," she said, eyes snapping to Remus.

"Go get your Luna and I some food.  Now."

I smacked him, startled at how he was suddenly being so rude.  "Remus," I whispered.

He sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose as he took a deep breath before exhaling.  "Suadela," he started.  "Will you please go get your Luna and I some food."  Then he turned to me to make sure that I was satisfied.

I sent a soft smile his way before kissing his cheek.  I turned around just in time to see Suadela's eyes flashing.  What was wrong with her?

"As you wish, Alpha.  Luna."  She turned and began to make her way out of the room.

"Oh, and Suadela," he called.  She looked over her shoulder, brows raised.

"Yes?"

"This is your last warning about proper attire," he growled.

I eyed her, suddenly taking in her outfit.  She was wearing a crimson tube top under a jean jacket, along with a tight leather skirt and four inch stilettoes that were a bright, firetruck red.  Her bright red waves were down, reaching the middle of her back.

I could see what Remus meant, that wasn't exactly the best thing to wear while working.

She nodded stiffly before turning and stalking out the door, shutting it harder than necessary.

"Is she alright," I whispered to Remus as I began to trace invisible patterns across his chest.

"She's fine, she's always like that," he sighed.  "Now," he said as he traced a path from my collarbone towards between my breasts.  "How about we burn some calories before we eat?"

"And how should we do that," I asked lowly as I leaned in closer.

"Hmm," he said as he pretended to think, tapping his finger against his bottom lip.  "Why don't I just show you," he purred as he flipped us so that I was suddenly on my back as he hovered over me.

"What are you waiting for," I murmured.

He lent in for a kiss and soon I was forgetting all about Suadela as his lips moved against mine.
