Leto entered the room just as Ernouf dashed towards the door. Wait, he wasn't heading for the door. He was heading towards Leto...
"Mine!" He possessively wrapped his arms around her as he buried his face in her neck. Someone got over me quickly. Good thing I didn't like him or I might have gotten offended.
My mates seemed to have immediately relaxed as soon as they realized that he wasn't my mate. Coinin headed over to me and draped his arm over my shoulders while Remus and Romulus tentatively hovered by the doorway.
Leto's eyes had widened in realization as she warily eyed Ernouf. "Um, not to be rude, but who are you..?" She craned her head back so she could meet his gaze as she spoke. If she had to do this every time they talked she'd get a crick in her neck.
"Your mate," he said as he tightened his arms around her. She attempted to wriggle out from his grasp to no avail.
She must have suspected as much as she seemed rather nonplussed if equally unimpressed by his response. "Yes, but who are you? What's your name? I'd rather not have to refer to you as mate for the rest of my life..."
His eyes widened at that and he raised an arm to rub the back of his neck before enveloping her once more. "Ah, of course. I'm Ernouf Lykos, Beta of the Shadowed Fang pack."
He paused at that as he waited for her to respond, eyebrows raised as he watched her expectantly. "And you are," he growled. Leto took a step back - or rather, tried to. Was he trying to strangle her?
"I-I'm Leto Mun." Her pale face was a mixture of fear and something I couldn't quite put my finger on.
"Leto," he purred as he seemed to test out the name. Leto had started to pick at her nail bed out of boredom.
"That's what I said, isn't it. Will you please let go of me now?"
"Mine," he growled.
"Yes, yes, yours," she gasped. She was turning slightly purple at this point.
"Um, Ernouf? You might want to loosen your grip a little. You do want your mate to be alive, right?"
He immediately loosened his hold although he didn't let go of her completely.
"Come! We have a lot of catching up to do," he barked. Poor Leto! At least one of my mates was nice.
"She's not a dog you know...."
"Well," he started with a smirk, an mischievous glint in his deep brown eyes.
"You know what I meant," I sighed as I pinched the bridge of my nose.
"It's not like this has anything to do with you anyways."
My eyes narrowed at that as my face became hot. I balled my hands into fists at my sides. "Did you want to repeat that," I hissed.
My mates all walked over to me, Coinin and Romulus standing on either side while Remus stood directly behind me.
"Are you telling our mate, your Luna what to do," Remus demanded.
"Ordering her around," Coinin shook his head.
"Wrong move brother," Romulus growled.
They began to advance on their brother in sync as if this had either been practiced or done before. Creepy
