"What do you think you're doing," I hissed as I pulled Suadela away from Romulus by her stupid ponytail.
"Leila," Remus yelled as he pulled me away from her.
"I'm not blind! I saw him nuzzling her neck while she just giggled!" My eyes narrowed as I attempted to escape his hold and claw her eyes out.
"Just go," Coinin sighed as he helped his brother get back into bed. She sent a coy smile and wink my way before quietly shutting the door behind herself.
"She was just helping him back to our room," Coinin explained. "She had been bringing up your food," he said as he nodded towards the tray piled with the food I had ordered, tea included, piping hot. "Apparently Romulus decided he should get drunk when he was supposed to be watching you," he continued, mumbling the last part so quietly that I almost missed it.
"I wasn't even asleep that long," I muttered as I eyed the clock. I scrunched up my nose as I took Romulus in.
He reeked of some type of strong alcohol, perhaps Silver Vodka and Wolfsbane? His clothes were in disarray and his neck and chest were covered in hickeys. Had I given all of those?
"I'm sorry baby," he slurred as he leaned against Coinin. "I-I didn't mean to, it just happened," he said sadly. He hiccupped, stumbled and nearly fell over before he was able to right himself.
"It's alright, just try not to drink so much next time," I said softly as I hesitantly made my way towards him. "I'm sorry too."
"Not just drinking. I---"
"Yes, we know. You got into the hard liquor, "Remus interrupted. "Again."
"Yeah, but I---"
"Won't do it again, we know. We'll make sure of it," Coinin added with a glare. "We know how stupid you are when you drink."
Romulus swayed dangerously to the left as he let out a burp before stumbling his way towards me. "You still love me baby, right? You forgive me?" He begged desperately as he widened his large, obsidian black eyes, glistening with tears as he clung to me.
"Yeah, sure," I said. His eyes welled with tears as he clung to me. "I mean, yes, of course I do," I yelped.
"R-really," he sniffled.
"Mhm," I said as I gently rubbed his back.
The next thing I knew, he was out cold and had fallen to the ground, having nearly taken me down with him.
"I'm sorry guys," I whispered.
They exchanged a look before Coinin dragged his snoring brother to the bed, dragging him onto it before yanking off his slippers. Remus led me to the table where my food lay waiting, steam creating intricate patterns before slowly disappearing.
"It's fine baby, I understand," he said as he rubbed my arms. "Cold?"
"Yeah," I said as I avoided his eyes.
"Let me call Suadela back to get you a robe." His eyes blurred over as he mind-linked Hecate. "Here baby, eat your food," Remus said as he uncovered the food.
"Sure," I mumbled.
"It's fine Leila, we understand, right Coinin?"
"Mhmm," Coinin agreed through a mouthful of some sort of biscuit.
"Eat," Remus repeated, more sternly this time.
"Alright," I said just as someone knocked on the door. That must be Suadela.
"Alright if I come in Alphas," Suadela murmured from the other side of the door. "Everyone decent?"
"Enter," Remus said.
"Is everything alright," she whispered as a mane of auburn waves peeked around the door. I noticed that she had changed clothes for some reason.
"Go fetch your new Luna her dressing robe," Remus demanded, watching as I examined the platters of food.
"Of course Alpha, right away. Anything else?"
"That will be all Suadela," Coinin said dismissively, a disgusted look plastered across his face.
"We'll call you if we need you," Remus added with a sneer.
She simply nodded before heading towards the walk-in closet and exiting with a pale blue robe not long after, as well as a matching silk nightgown with tiny, intricate patterns of silver and white thread draped over her arm.
She quietly placed them at the dressing table, bowed, then made her way back outside.
"Wait," I cried so suddenly that I startled her, as well as Coinin and Remus. Romulus simply let out a long, rattling snore before burying his face in the pillows.
"Y-yes," she whispered hesitantly, eyes trained on the intricate designs of the persian carpet.
"I just wanted to apologize. For earlier. I don't know what came over me."
"It's quite alright Luna," she whispered as she flushed a bright red. Her eyes were still trained on the carpet.
"You can go now," Remus snapped.
I looked at him weirdly before smacking the back of his head. "Don't be rude," I hissed. "Thank you for all of your help," I added to Suadela.
"Of course Luna," she mumbled. She quickly left after that, nearly tripping on a massive Roman vase as she did so.
"Weird," I mumbled.
"She's always been like that," Remus said dismissively. "Now come here and eat," he said as he pulled me down onto his lap.
A/N: Do you think that Leila is just being paranoid, or do you think she's onto something? Do you think that Coinin and Remus are lying, and if so, why? What do you think Hecate's relationship with the brother's is?
