The Phoenix Beys

✔Chapter 20

The group continued to follow Ryuto up the misty mountain until they came to a stop as he pointed out the summit of Mist Mountain, where the Star Fragment should be.

Suddenly, the mist became even thicker and began obscuring their vision to the point where they couldn't even see their own hands in front of their faces and Ryuto suggested they wait until the mist cleared since it was too dangerous for them to move.

Kyoya, ever the impatient, seemed to have other ideas as he launched his Bey into the mist and used it to clear the mist. It cleared the majority of the mist away enough for them to see where they were going and the group continued onward on their journey as Ryuto found the short cut to the summit.

Ubeknownst to the group, Johannes and the Beylin Fist members were discreetly tailing them from a distance.

They came across multiple crossroads with these strange faces in the middle of them and quickly figured out that the correct path to travel is the one of which the face's eyes are looking at. 

Once through all the crossroads, they entered into an ancient stadium-like area. It was here that Johannes and the Beylin Fist members finally decided to show themselves and the group was shocked to see Bao and Aguma with them.

Not long after, Kyoya challenged Aguma and the two were soon caught in an intense Bey Battle. 

The others tried to go on ahead as the door to the next path had opened in reaction to Kyoya and Aguma's battle, but Johannes, Yuya, Bao and the other members of the Beylin Fist stood in their way.

Nile, Benkei, Demure all stepped forward to battle them as Nile instructed the  others to run on ahead. Cleo wanted to stay behind and maybe lend a hand if she could, despite not being a Blader, but Nile managed to persuade her to run ahead with Gingka and the others as he assured her they'd be alright. She reluctantly agreed and gave him a quick hug before the two parted ways.

Nile, Benkei and Demure battled hard against Johannes, Yuya, Bao and the other members of the Beylin Fist, but it was Kyoya and Aguma using their Special Moves against each other that put a brief pause to their battle as they turned their attention to the two Legendary Bladers.

They noticed Kyoya was starting to struggle as Aguma brought out another Special Move and went to help him, but their opponents stopped them from interfering as they continued their own battle. That battle was soon brought to an end as Benkei and Nile used their Special Moves to beat their opponents.

They attempted to rush over to give Kyoya a hand, but he told them to stay out of it.

Meanwhile, at the door's entrance, Kogame had decided to turn back following a light humming from her Bey and a feeling that she was needed there.

Not long after that, Kyoya performed another Special Move, causing both his and Kogame's Bey's to glow, and managed to beat Aguma.

Once the battle was over, the door started closing and they quickly rushed to get through, leaving Johannes, Bao, Aguma, Yuya and the other members of the Beylin Fist behind.
