The Phoenix Beys

✔Chapter 17

The Destroyer Dome was a massive spherical Bey stadium made out of glass where the contestants will battle it out. The tournament was split up into A Block and B Block and would be fought battle royal style. The remaining three from each block would then carry on to battle in the final round where the winner will be decided.

Tsubasa, Zeo, Toby and Rushka were all in A Block while Masamune was in B Block.

The group were making their way to the stadium where the A Block battles would soon take place, when the sound of arguing was heard.

"I can't take it anymore!"

"We're not puppets that you can control, Big Bro!"

Two voices shouted and the group turned to find none other than the Garcias were arguing with each other.

"The Garcias are here?" Masamune said.

"Apparantly they got past the qualifying round as well." Tsubasa said.

"What's this then? You two are refusing to listen to me?" Argo said.

"That's right, Big Bro!" Enzo said.

"Say what?" Ian spoke in surprise.

"We lost in the World Championships! Ziggurat took control of us because you let him do it!" Selen told him. "We really looked like fools to everyone out there!"

"We can't go along blindly with the way you do things anymore, Argo!" Enzo said.

"What did you say?" Argo said.

"The Garcias are broken up! From now on, I will fight for myself!" Selen said.

"Likewise!" Enzo said, before he and his sister ran off.

"Wait! Selen! Enzo!" Ian called after them, only to be ignored.

Masamune, Tsubasa, Zeo, Rushka and Toby watched this all happen in shock.

"No, way. Could the Garcias really be splitting up?" Rushka asked in disbelief.

"It sure looks like it." Tsubasa replied.

After shaking off the surprise of seeing the Garcias arguing, they continued on their way to the stadium and took their stances in the Destroyer Dome.

"Hurry! The match is about to start, you guys!" Gingka shouted as he, Madoka, Lillian, Yuki, Kyoya, Kogame and Benkei all sprinted towards the stadium stands.

The group arrived just in time to see all the A Block contestants launch their Beys into the stadium and the battles began as they joined Masamune and Seraphine in the stands.

The Garcias continued to prove that they were now a split team as Enzo and Selen refused to listen to their older brothers' orders. Argo even went as far as to knock out Selen's Bey and Zeo and Toby both stepped in to protect Enzo's Bey.

However, that was soon proven to be a mistake as Enzo rejoined his brothers and the Garcias revealed that they were tricking them the whole time.

Tsubasa tried to bring his Bey over to help Zeo and Toby, but was stopped by Tobio as he was determined to beat the Eagle user.

Rushka stepped in to help Zeo and Toby battle the remaining three Garcias, but, despite putting up qn impressive fight against them, was soon beaten.

"Rushka!" Zeo and Toby called out as they watched her Bey be beaten.

"Aw, man. I almost had them too." Rushka said as she saw her Bey laying motionlessly at the bottom of the glass dome. "Oh, well. That just means I need to train harder in order to win next time!"
