The Phoenix Beys

✔Chapter 12

Scarlett, Gingka, Kyoya, Benkei, Yuki, Lillian, Kogame and Madoka had all traveled to China as they continued their search for the next Legendary Blader. This trip came after they received news from Beylin Temple about a mysterious new Blader they had a feeling could be a Legendary Blader.

The group walked into Beylin Temple and Yuki and Lillian both looked around in awe at all the Bladers who were training.

"It's been a while." Da Xian greeted the group as he and Hua approached them.

The gang had met Hua during the World Championships as a spectator. She has pitch black straight hair that reaches her knees and is tied back in two pigtail braids and dark brown eyes. Although not a Blader herself, she's very observant and knowledgeable when it comes to Beys and how they are used in Battle. The group had actually mistaken her for a Bey Mechanic at the time due to how much she knows, but she assured them she wasn't and was probably more likely to break a Bey rather than fix it if she was ever put up to the task.

"I'm glad to see you are all doing well." Da Xian said as he shook hands with Gingka.

"Thank you. You too, Da Xian." Gingka replied.

Da Xian and Hua then seemed to take notice of the two new faces in the group.

"Who are they? New friends of yours?" Hua asked curiously.

"Who, us?" Yuki said, slightly startled by the attention. "I'm Yuki Mizusawa and this is Lillian."

Lillian gave a friendly smile as she waved at them in greeting.

"I am the leader of Wang Hu Zhong, Da Xian Wang." Da Xian introduced. "And this is my girlfriend, Hua."

"Welcome to Beylin Temple." Hua said with a kind smile.

"T-the pleasure is ours." Yuki stuttered out.

"It's an honor to meet you." Lillian said.

"Everyone seems to be working as hard as ever." Scarlett said.

"Even more than usual today." Mei Mei said as she and Chi Yun walked over to them.

"Because Gingka is visiting." Chi Yun said, which confused Gingka a little. "Well, Gingka. You defeated us, Wang Hu Zhong, and won the world championships. Since then, it has been Beylin Temple's goal to defeat you in a rematch."

"And now that chance lies right in front of us, so of course everyone's working hard." Mei Mei said.

"That makes sense, I guess." Gingka said. "So then, about this Legendary Blader we talked about..."

The atmosphere seemed to turn more serious at the reminder that the group from Japan didn't come all the way to China just for a visit.

"The investigation continues. However, he is quite a crafty fellow." Da Xian said. "Even with our information network, we still have not discovered his true identity."

"It's very important that we find him and quickly." Gingka said.

"That shouldn't be a problem." Hua said. "There's a tag team battle that will be taking place soon in China."

"A tag team battle?" Gingka asked.

"There's a good chance he'll make an appearance at the tournament." Hua said.

"Naturally, it'll be an excellent opportunity to show of his true strengths." Da Xian said.

"And it's also the best place for Chi Yun and all of Beylin Temple to get another crack at battling you, Gingka." Chi Yun added as Mei Mei nodded in agreement.
