"God, this is the best food I've ever had" zhivago tells me after taking a bite

"Thanks" I smile
"You'll have to try my friends cooking people say his foods the best even after eating mine" I say stoping my smile

"I can't even imagine food tasting better than this" he says but my thoughts get lost on Ban
"What are you thinking about?" He asks

"What do you mean?" I raise an eyebrow

"You have a lot of emotion on your face" he tells me

"Oh... I'm just thinking about the amazing cook" I respond honestly

"Do you love him?" He asks

"Why would you assume that?!" I panic

"Just the look you have is the same look I had whenever I think about my late wife" he says

"I uh... It's complicated and not something I want to figure out right now" I explain
"Why don't you tell me about your sons" I try to change the subject

"Well one of my sons isn't actually my son but one day I saved him from some horrible people that tried to sell him to even worse people. I taught him everything I know and he trusted me, but one day I was late, he started without me and got into trouble, before I could help him I heard some men talking about how they found my home and were going to kill my son. I had to make a choice on who was I going to save the kid or my own son. . . I I choose to go home but it was to late I got rid of the people there but I couldn't do any to save him he died in my arm" zhivago started to cry

"I'm sorry" I hug him

"I could have saved him but I picked my blood!" his tears soaked my shoulder
"Ban... I'm so sorry" he whispered and I took a step back, realizing that his story fits perfectly with the story Ban told me in the dungeon before the sins

"D-did you say B-ban?" I ask and he nods
"What did he look like?" I say

"He-he had pale blue hair, red eyes and would be around the age of 40 if he was alive now" he cried

"I don't think he's dead" I tell him putting light back into his eyes

"How?" His breath shakes

"I don't know how he survived, but he fits the same description of the man I was telling you about" I explain

"He's alive, are you sure?" He asks and I nod then he thinks more
"And you love him?"

"I never confirmed that" I say

"But you do" he tells me
"Wait aren't you like 19 he's old enough to be your father" he says making me cringe

"Actually we're the same age I'm 43 and I'm supposed to look like I'm at least 22" I pout

"You're human aren't you? How do you look so young?" He asks

"I drank water from the fountain of youth... Ban actually drank it too" I explain

"Wow! So he actually did it. You could spend eternity with each other!" He says happily

"He's been in love with another woman for the past twenty years. . . And I honestly rather him be with her... it would end a lot of pain" I Say

"But you still want to be with him?" He asks

"Its not something I want to figure out right now" I say

"But What did you mean it would end a lot of pain?" He questions

"The woman he's in love with is dead" I say making his eyes widen

"What so you would kill him?!" He gets angry

"No! That would increase the pain!" I tence up
"Ban tried to make a deal with the goddess race to bring his girlfriend back and they told him they would bring her back if he killed me" I explain

"He wouldn't!" zhivago says
"You're an amazing girl and Ban would be lucky to even know you" he says

"I tried to get him to, Elaine is amazing and deserves the life that I don't want" I say
"I tried to get him to kill me before I even knew about the deal" I say weakly

"W-why?" He asks

"My immortality is only a curse, I've had to watch every one I love die, I'm in constant pain and Ban is the only one alive that can kill me" I explain

"But Ban loves you too, dosen't he?" he says

"Why would you think that?" I ask

"I know how amazing you are I'm sure Ban knows too" he explains

"You have some shitty reasoning for thinking that but... Ban did think he loves me" I say

"Then why aren't you with him?" He asks

"He told me how he felt about me when I was engaged, then my husband tried to kill me and Ban kill him before he had the chance" I say

"Then why aren't you with him?" He repeats

"I need time" I say

"What if he falls in love with someone else while you're talking your time?" He asks

"Then maybe he'll be happy" I answer but the thought of Ban with someone that isn't Elaine or me hurts

Jericho pov

"Jericho we're almost there we don't need to stop for the night" Ban tells me but I just sit down
"What The hell are you doing?" He asks

"I'm tired" I complain trying to have more time alone with him

"Fine stay here" he says coldly still walking

"Come on, you want to be well rested when you see her don't you?" I try to convince him

"No, I just want to see her" he says frustrated

"why are you in such a hurry?!" I say jealous

"Because I'm scared ok!" He shouts making me flinch
"she's looking for a way out of this world, and I don't want to give her an time to find it" he explained
