Ban pov

Once Elaine disappears I'm left with a ache in my chest. I'm confident I'll be able to kill (y/n). Having Elaine in my arms made me feel almost whole again.

I love Elaine more than anything.

I walk out of the room, stepping in something that dampens my sock. I groan looking to the floor.

"(Y/n)!" I see her passed out, bleeding on the floor.

I quickly pick her up trying to find her heartbeat, but it's not there.

"What the hell? What the hell?! Why haven't you healed yet?!" I'm terrified.

This can't be happening again. I can't lose her. I'm not ready yet. I hug her tight.

I then hear her start to breathe, and her heart start to beat again.

I look back to her and she's looking back at me completely ok.

"Ban?" She squints, looking at me like I'm some kind of weirdo.

"What the hell was that?! You scared the shit out of me! You were dead!" I hug her, too relieved to feel as angry as I sound.

"Sorry, I just temporarily lose regeneration after reviving someone. I guess I accidentally cut too deep." Her voice is a little muffled by how tight I'm holding her.
"You thought I was dead?"

"You weren't breathing and you didn't have a heartbeat. You were dead." I state.

"Sorry."

"Never do that to me again." I order.

"How was seeing elaine?" She tries to change the subject.

"Not worth the heart attack you gave me!" I exaggerate. Obviously, Elaine has to be worth everything.

"Sorry, I'll be more careful next time." She gently pushes against my chest, as if telling me to let go.

I sigh, letting her stand on her own.
"As if I'm ever letting you do that again."

"You don't get to "let" me do anything. I'm reviving people anyway. Maybe I'd even revive Elaine just to hang out with her myself, if you don't want to." She tells me.

"You're such a brat." I groan.

"... I'm sorry for scaring you. I don't usually die when I revive someone. It won't be like that again." She fidgets with her necklace.

"When do I get to see Elaine again?"

"As soon as this scare isn't there anymore." She shows me her forearm so I can see the faint scar that spell out Elaine.
"Two days to two months."

"Ban! Come make lunch were hungry!" We hear hawk yelling from down stairs

“is it really morning already?" I whine, getting myself to go downstairs.

(Y/n) pov

I take a deep breath finding a mop to clean up my spilled blood.

My heart beats faster thinking about how Ban was holding me. It seems so effortlessly, like I was weightless. He held me so close. I felt like I was actually cared about. I felt like he cared about me.

I'm too lost in thought, it takes me a moment to realize I've been cleaning the same spotless part of the floor too long. It now too clean and doesn't match the color of the rest of the floor.

I groan realizing I now have to clean the entire hallway floor.

Dumb blood should have just stayed inside of my veins, now I have to do all this extra work.

Eventually finishing the floor, I go to the bed room and sit on my hammock.

I pull my skirt up a bit to look at the scars on my thighs. I was a lot more careful writing these names. Unless someone is really looking, they only appear as stretch marks.

I trace the names until I figure out which one is missing.

I smile, when I don't find Melissa.

I grab endarah and carefully write her name into my skin.

"(Y/n)!" A short blonde girl hugs me.

"Meli!" I hug her back with the same enthusiasm.
