(Y/n) pov

"Hey, hey, hey (y/n) d-did you hear the seven deadly sins got back together?" Henry, the town drunk, says when I go to refill mug.

"Yeah, I did. Are you scared they might take over the kingdom?" I ask him.

"Nuh uh, I heard that they just finished saving the k-kingdom." he drinks the ale.

"You better not be believing all the rumors you hear." I grab a rag to wipe the already clean counter.

"I only ever believe the realist ones." He says defensively

"Oh yeah?" I laugh
"You definitely only believe the real ones, like Carl having a crush on me, and I'm immortal."

"Carl's one hundred percent in love with you, and I haven't exactly ever seen you age." He says confidently.

"How exactly would you see me age?" I giggle.

"Well, you d-don't look like you're older than thirty-five you hasn't been aging," he explained

"I'm twenty-six." I roll my eyes.

"Well, you look like you're barely even eighteen." He claims.

"I have a good skincare routine, and your eyes aren't exactly what they used to be." My words make him pout, downing the last of his drink.
"That was last call. Get home safe, and say hi to Lucille for me, ok?"

He nods, getting off the stool, stumbling out the door.

I get around the bar to put the stool on top of it so Carl will be able to sweep the floor easier tomorrow.

I lock up and start to walk home. The thought of working tomorrow is a little overwhelming. My third bartender recently quit to be a full-time mother. Tomorrow will be the first Friday without her. I'm not looking forward to the big crowds the weekend brings.

The weather could have made the walk enjoyable if I wasn't so tired. It was warm with just the right amount of wind. The small village cute and cozy underneath the cloudless stary sky.

I get to my house, kicking my shoes off once I'm through the door. I take off a few more less comfortable items of clothing before plopping onto my bed.

Laying there's my thoughts drift back to the sins like they did almost every night.

I feel pathetic thinking of all of them as often as I do. It's been ten years. Ten years, and I haven't heard from any of them. I wish I meant as much to them as they did to me.

I tried to make it as obvious as possible where I've been hiding. Spreading so many rumors about who I really am trying to make it as easy as possible for them to find me, but I guess they didn't need my help to save the kingdom.

I wasn't the family to them that they were to me. I'm just a teammate who can sit on the bench until I'm needed.

---

I get to the bar at noon to set up with Carl. But even hours after opening, it's still empty.

"Where is everyone?" Carl asks, with the same amount of confusion I was in.

"It's never this empty on a Friday." I state the obvious.

I'm gonna do a lap around town. Maybe we just weren't informed about some other event." I wait for confirmation that he heard me, then walk out of the bar, hoping it doesn't end up getting crowded while Carl is there alone.

I walk through the empty town until I start to hear the same kind of chattering noise that I'm used to having in my bar.

I follow the noise to a building that hadn't been there before. I never saw any construction or advertising for it, and yet there's a line of my usual patrons that go out the door. Skeptical I wait in it, impatient and annoyed.
