Chapter 11

"Spots off!" Marinette says as she landed into a nearby alley. (A/N happy now?I finally use the right transformation words!Yall are so picky! I only watch french version to always be corrected by the American watchers.)

"Another saved day," Tikki smiled as she went to rest in Marinette's purse.

Marinette sighed as she wish that was a good reason to smile, "I'm really worried for him."

Tikki expression changed to be more worried, "Did he hesitate in fighting the akuma?"

"No," Marinette said with a huge sigh, "but that's what worrying me."

Tikki responds, "he lost his father and everyone went against him in less than 24 hours. I think he's doing well in keeping his emotions under control."

"But how can he?" Marinette asked as she wouldn't be able to control her emotions if she had undergone such betrayal.

"Because your not letting him face it alone. As Ladybug and as Marinette. Which reminds me... When did Luka became your boyfriend!?"

"Since last night," Marinette shruggs as it wasn't a big deal, "When I went out..."

"But Marinette your in love with Adrien," Tikki argues as she wasn't happy with the news.

"But I can't be with him. Luka was right," Marinette explained, "Remember he supported the idea for me to go to New York when I missed the bus. I was going to stay behind instead of going to New York with Adrien because I was conflicted with my emotions. It was important the trip, I finally got some clarity."

"So you chose Luka?" Tikki asked knowing the answer.

"Me and Adrien live two different worlds. He's only going to be my friend as hero and civilian," Marinette stated, "It would be better this way."

"Marinette?" They both heard from behind.

Tikki went into her bag as Marinette turned to see Adrien walking towards her.

"Marinette are you okay?"Adrien asked as he reached to her location on the streets.

Marinette gave a confused expression to why he was asking and realize that they were both suppose to be at school, "Uh um yeah. That was some crazy akuma." She says nervously.

"Yeah," Adrien sighed in disappointment.

"Adrien I heard you mumbling about your father..."

"Marinette I had to see if he cared," Adrien explained as he immediately thought that she was thinking the worse about him.

"I know I was just worried," Marinette responded.

Adrien states, "Don't worry. As far as I see it he's no longer my father."

"Adrien," Marinette started to respond then they both heard someone call out to her interrupting them.

They both turn to see it was Luka as he rose his bike towards them. "Luka?" Marinette rhetorically asked as she steps from Adrien to meet Luka when he stopped on his bike.

"Are you okay? Alya said you had followed Adrien and you were in danger," Luka explained as he got off his bike to approach Marinette.

"I'm fine," Marinette reassured, "we both are."

Luka sighed, "Marinette you shouldn't keep putting yourself in danger," Luka says as he held both her hands up to his lips to kiss them.

"Were both okay," Marinette gave a slight smile.

Luka expression changed into a disapproving look, "I know. But I don't want my girlfriend to be hurt."

"G-girlfriend?" Adrien asked in a clueless expression, "I thought you guys were just good friends."

"No. YOU guys are good friends. That's what you've told Mari over and over. Alya was worried that you were in danger."

Adrien was now actually confused, "No...I mean yeah...we are good friends um."

"Look man, you honestly had a chance and missed it," Luka says as he took out a helmet for Marinette.

"Missed it?" Adrien said in confusion.

"Adrien I'm going back to school with Luka. Are you okay?" Marinette asked knowing he was able to return back using Chat Noir powers as she had plan to with her Ladybug powers.

"Don't worry about me," he smiled at her as he started to walk off.

Marinette nodded as Luka started to ride them off, "Take care man."

"Kid are you going to let him take your girl?" Plagg says as he poked his head out.

"Really Plagg not this again," Adrien eyerolled, "Me and her are just friends."

Plagg growled in annoyance as he couldn't get him in trouble for kissing Ladybug and Marinette on the same night, "you little dollophead!"

Adrien gave a puzzle look, "What is that suppose to mean?"

"Two words...Adrien Agreste," Plagg eyeroll.

"She is just my friend..." Adrien sighed as look back to see Marinette leaving with Luka. He tried to smile for them but sadden at the sight, "Just my friend."

"Well the e-boy definitely let you be aware of that," Plagg commented as he started to eat the cheese.

"Luka was just worried. Marinette shouldn't have followed me," Adrien reassured Plagg that he wasn't offended.

"Right, that why he was jealous," Plagg commented with an eyeroll.

"Plagg I don't have time for this let's just go back to school,"Adrien says.

"So you want to go back to that place. You have some real guts. If I was you I would hide in humiliation in a dark hole all alone with my camembert and never return. But thats just me, not you just me. Heck what do I know I didn't have to deal with social pressure of the 21st century. I lived in a cave to ignore society. But good for you kid."

Adrien had stopped on his steps, "Maybe I shouldn't take the Chat Noir short cut."

"Atta boy," Plagg replies, "But I have to ask. What happened out in battle?"

"What do you mean?" Adrien asked in confusion.

"You were angry during battle," Plagg commented.

"Don't worry about it," Adrien commented as he look up to see a photo of his father on the news.

"Don't let anger cloud your judgement kid," Plagg said in a serious tone.

Adrien scoffed as they continue their way, "I know what I'm gonna do."
