Chapter 23

"Where am I?" Marinette cried out as her capture took off her blindfold. Marinette looked around to see he was in an unrecognizable building. She looks behind her to see Adrien's bodyguard holding her and in front were Natalie and Gabriel.

"Sorry for the rough invitation," Gabriel responded.

"Where am I? What's going on?" Marinette asked as she looked around.

"My family's old summer home. me my wife and Adrien use to come every summer till her..."

"Disappearance?" Marinette interjected.

Gabriel took a deep breath as he looked back at her, "Got sick.."

"What?"

"It doesn't matter. With you now I can get the Miraculous," Gabriel explained as he looked at Marinette who was scared of what was going to happen next.

"What?" Marinette's voice hitched as she assumes that he now knew her identity.

"You're truly extraordinary. No wonder Adrien grew a fondness for you, however, you just prove how he can't trust anyone," Gabriel was circling Marinette as she glared back at him. "You stole the heroes book knowing well what it was, then defending my son to try to get to me Well the game is over now that I know the truth. I thought that it was Rene Rouge who would of lead me but it was in fact you."

"I don't know what you're talking about," Marinette kept a firm voice as she watches Gabriel's movements as he stares at her.

"The true ring leader. You assisted Ladybug in her duties that why she knew how to help your friends in resiting the Akuma and for Chat Noir you're his little pet," Gabriel remarked.

Marinette tried to break free from the bodyguard grasps, "You're not going to get away with this!

"Oh, I knew that would get a rise out of you. So if you know good for you then you'll do what I say," Gabriel demanded.

"No!" 

"Fine, then she will," Gabriel stepped back as out of the shadows appeared herself, a senti monster, "correct Marinette?"

Marinette- sentimonster nodded in response as she gave an evil smile towards the real Marinette.

Marinette looks back at Gabriel, "He won't be fooled."

"We'll see about that Marinette," Gabriel nodded as he started to head out, "Enjoy your stay."

"Hmm, I wonder why Marinette isn't answering," Adrien frowned as he looked at his phone. Since last night he hadn't heard any word from her and he was starting to worry.

"Maybe she's sleeping in," Plagg shrugged as he wasn't too worried.

Adrien didn't think so as he felt something wasn't right as he was already at the school.

"Come one just get to class Casanova!" Plagg ordered.

However, ever since the accident that causes Marinette to lose his memory he had been extra alert especially now that he knows her identity. Adrien stepped back from the school and went to an alley to not seen, "Sorry Plagg I guess I'm going to be late. Claws out!"

Chat Noir ran across the rooftop to arrive at Marinette's balcony. Chat Noir knocked at the door to get a response. He put his ear to hear little voices. "The Kwamis..." Chat Noir tried the door to realize it was open. He shut his eyes as he stuck his head in the room, "I hope everyone is descent." After not hearing anything he opens his eyes to find Marinette's room untouched. Marinette was nowhere in sight and had no trace of her.
