"So you remember everything?" Adrien asked her as he ended going back to her home as she was recalling her memories. It was strange how much she did remember, how quickly people, places, and events came to mind now. They were in her room after their moment in the rain when she recalled her memories of Adrien.

Marinette slowly goes toward Adrien and kisses him while hugging him tightly before he pulls away, "Yes, Adrien."

"And you're not getting sick, we were just out in the rain?" Adrien asked.

Marinette hugged as she now in dry clothes and revealed her secret presents stash for Adrien in giving him a spare change. "I'm fine, I'm just glad I know who I am and how I feel for you."

"Yeah..." Adrien sighed as he gently pushed her away.

Marinette notices his strange behavior, "What's going on? We touch and you push me away and you just did it again."

"It's just I can't do this," Adrien sighed sadly, although he was glad she remembered him he blamed himself for what happened, "It was my fault it happened."

"No, it wasn't I should have paid more attention to Manon," Marinette said running her hand through Adrien's hair so he can look at her.

"It is!" Adrien expressed, "My father warned me that he would hurt you."

"Wh...What?"

"Because I wouldn't join him I can't," Adrien expressed as he looked at her, "Because of you I resisted but it put you in danger. I was supposed to protect you and I didn't."

"Adrien..." Marinette got his hand as he could tell how upset he got.

"You know it's true," Adrien interjected  as he held her hand, "And you forgetting your memory and having you as an enemy broke me."

"Adrien I'm sorry for everything..." Marinette wanted to reassure him that it wasn't his fault but he interjected her sentence.

"But it's not your fault you have nothing to be sorry about. Mari I almost you in an accident, you forgot who I was. I love you but I can't let you be in danger," Adrien looked at her with sad eyes. His hand caressed her cheek as he wanted to look at her eyes, "We can't be together..."

"What are you talking about? Yes, we can be together we love each other," Marinette says as she started to tear up.

"That's why it has to end," Adrien explained as he was holding his pain back.

"No it can't end like this I love you," Marinette cried out but Adrien pulled her into a hug.

"I just want to protect you and I can't lose you as I did," Adrien explains as he held her tighter as this hurt him just as much.

"You're supposed to break up with someone because you're not in love with someone not because you're in love with them," Marinette sniffed as she teared up in his chest. "At least we're still friends," Marinette sighed unknowing he was right as she realizes that Hawkmoth must have been watching her.

Adrien chuckled as he held her in her arms, "No I can't be friends with you."

"What?"  Marinette looked up at him.

"I can hate you or I can love you for the rest of my life and those are the options the way I see it," Adrien gave a sincere smile, "I love you that's never going to change."

"Adrien..." Marinette says as he lifted her chin.

"I hate to have this happen the way it happened. I owe it to you to set you free. Your better off without me at least for now," Adrien sighed as he held her hands.
