Start Over

Chapter 7

Chat Noir jumped to the top of his home roof as he saw the butterfly fluttering up into the sky. He looked at it in confusion as it glowed, "An Akuma..." Chat muttered although he should go after it, "But it came from this direction."

Chat Noir looked at the butterfly as it appeared to just have taken flight from behind his home. 

"The observatory," He muttered as he knew it was the only place it could have come from. He froze as he looked at the building, "Mother..." Adrien sighed as his heart drop. He hasn't been in the observatory since his mother's disappearance it looks completely abandoned except for a dim light that was inside, "What?" 

Things clicked in his mind as it would make sense for Hawkmoth to be hiding there if he was. No one goes there, it was completely abandoned. Chat Noir hated to think that Hawkmoth's lair was near his own home or worse inside his home in the observatory. All that Chat wanted to do at that moment was constantly deny out loud that he was living under his archenemy this entire time that he had been fighting off the akumas.

"I better check because it won't be long before I have to help Buggaboo," Chat Noir says as he looked in the direction where the akumatized butterfly was heading, "But if he using my home as my hideout, he has another thing coming."

Chat gripped his staff tightly; his lips curled into an intense frown, his eyes twitched in anger, wanting to slash at the man who may be hiding in his own home, but knew that it was not going to help in any way possible. He went to enter the observatory like normal but found it locked. He went up the roof so he can see. "What? I don't believe this!" Chat Noir spat out as he sees the light lighting the patch where he use to come with his mother. The entire observatory was filled with butterflies. Without giving a second thought he jumps down to see a better look of the observatory.

He analyzed the room to recall the details. It was a large room with an arched ceiling, barely lit by the lights along the sidewalls and what appears to be a beam of sunlight from a skylight. He walked on a catwalk that extends the length of the room down in the middle. He saw that the far end of the room to have a tree growing from the floor below with the main wall have a butterfly design.  Adrien recalls again that time when Ladybug first accuse his father of being Hawkmoth, "No it can't be him... why would it be?"

He finally reaches the end of the catwalk where there was a circular platform covered in green vegetation. With grasses and bushes and flowers that lead to a cryogenic pod that was fogged up

"Wow is Hawkmoth some kind of vampire?" Chat Noir asked as he approached it.

"Stay away!" Someone yelled as he approached it ready to see the face.

Chat Noir looked to see it was Hawkmoth. Chat Noir glared at him angrily as he was confirmed now that Hawkmoth was using his home a hideout.

"Aww were you not expecting guests mothy?" Chat Noir teased.

Hawthmoth growled as he started to approach and revealing the moth created by Mayura, "I don't appreciate uninvited guests."

"I would have called but you are so hard to get in touch," Chat Noir mocked as he jumps over the giant moth that flew towards him to attack.

"How did you find me?" Hawkmoth growled as he jumped up to fight Chat Noir.

"Let's just say a friendly neighborhood hero saw a wondering Akuma," Chat Noir says as he dodges the hits of Hawkmoth, "Your reign is now over."

"A fatal mistake, but it will be repaired as I can personally take your miraculous," Hawkmoth laughed as he got hit on Chat Noir, "An Akuma is out there to get Ladybug Miraculous and you're here, you save it so much trouble."
