Start Over

Chapter 12

 Marinette had returned to school and she was able to get back before the teacher realized she was missing. Adrien was able to appear as well but the teachers were aware of his disappearance but Ms. Bustier was not allowing the teachers to scold him. After the events with the Akuma shutdown, the rest of the day continued. Adrien went to sit in the back as he just stared off while Marinette kept glancing back at him throughout the day. Since Adrien was now under Chloe's supervision, right after school he went with her to his stay at the hotel.

"Poor Adrien," Marinette mumbled as Adrien waved at them from Chloe's vehicle.

"It's such a bummer that it had to be Chloe who can help him out," Nino said, "But it's better than the jailhouse."

"Nino," Ayla shrugged at him as his jokes have been getting more offensive.

"Hey what was that for," Nino complained.

Alya gave an eye roll, " We'll talk later, I'm going to walk with Marinette to her place."

"Alright see you then dudettes," Nino said as put on his  headphones, "I'm gonna go crash into Adrien's place at the hotel."

"Bye Nino," the girls said as they started to make their way.

"Okay girl, spill!" Alya asked Marinette surprising her.

"Alya I already told you, Adrien was not turning evil," Marinette scolded as Alya assume some theories of why she wnt to follow Adrien.

"Yeah I know, you were only going to make sure your 'friend' was safe," Alya quoted with her fingers.

"Hey, no quotes! He is my friend," Marinette says then her phone rang, "It's Luka," She said in surprise as she picked up the phone.

"Oooohhh," Alya swooned.

"Shut it," Marinette giggles, "Hey what's up Luka?..... Yeah, I'm with Alya... That sounds fun, see you then."

"What's up your knight in shining armor?" Alya asked with a Chesire smile.

"The band is practicing right now," Marinette commented as she put her phone away, "You want to go?"

Alya's phone beeped with a text from Nino, "Oh, definitely. Guess who's going to be there?"

"I guess Nino with that expression on your face," Marinette chuckled as they changed direction to Luka's home.

"Or a cute blonde model that has Marinette's heart," Alya teased.

"Adrien?" Marinette asked in confusion, "I thought he was guarded by Chloe's claws."

Alya shrugged, "Who knows, let's go." Alya said as she started to drag Marinette in a speed walk to Juleka and Luka's home by the river. When they arrive they found most of their friends, once on the ship, Alya released Marinette's grip to go find Nino. On the way, Marinette had to try to explain to Alya that Adrien was just a friend and her and Luka were something but Alya kept overtalking her not giving her a chance. Marinette sighed in relief as her wrist was finally free as she lost Alya from her eyesight.

"Ma, ma, Marinette, "Luka said behind her.

Marinette turned to him while rubbing her wrist and smile, "Hey Luka."

"What's wrong with your wrist I thought you didn't get hurt from the Akuma today," Luka says as he gently got her wrist to look at it.

"I didn't, but Alya defiantly has a grip," Marienette chuckles.

Luka chuckled as he placed a kiss on her wrist, "We should talk to her about not being too aggressive."
