CHAPTER 22

"Yes baby lion?" Sagot ng kaibigan sa kabilang linya. He was a bit annoyed by what he called him, literally the playful Theo he knows.

He just shook his head and he did go straight to his point.

"Theo.. I have a question." He said without further a do.

"Woah.. you seems in a rush." Tumawa ito. "What is it about?"

He sighed. "What will you do if you are to meet the father of your woman?"

Natahimik ito sa kabilang linya.

Sya naman ay inayos ang button down polo na suot.

He was freaking nervous. Ganito pala ang pakiramdam na haharap sa ama ng asawa nya.

He knows he can face him so well. Alam nya sa sarili na makakaya nya iyon. Pero ang plano nito, ang mga ipapagawa nito para pumayag ito sa relasyon nila. Doon sya kinakabahan. Lalo na sa magiging desisyon nito.

Yes, they are already married. Mag kakaanak narin sila ni Alleona. Pero ang basbas ng ama nito ay importante para sakanya.

Ayaw nya rin magkaroon ng lamat ang magandang relasyon ng mag ama. Ayaw nyang matulad ito sa relasyon nila ng ama nya. Kaya gagawin nya kung ano ang dapat. 

And he needs an advice from a friend. Sana lang lang ay may makuha syang matinong sagot sa mga ito.

He really hope so.

Nagising sya sa pagiisip ng biglang tumawa ang nasa kabilang linya. "Wait.. dont tell me you're meeting her father? Man! Run for your life! You impregnated her before marriage! Tsk! You rascal! Malay mo diba tutukan ka nalang ng baril—"

Pinatayan nya ito. Hindi nakakatulong ang mga sinasabi nito. Mas lalo pa syang kinabahan.

Why on earth did he called Theo? Knowing that friend of him. He loves to mess with them. That friend of him doesn't seem to know the word 'serious'.

He sighed and called Zochorro. He blurted a curse when it's phone is out of coverage. So as Ziv.

So he decided to just call Zavric. Thankfully he answered the call after two rings. He was a bit relieved.

"Phoenix.. What's up man?" Sagot nito.

He sighed and started to talk about what he called for. He was a bit glad because it  was listening to him very well. This friend of him always pays attention to each of them. He's good at handling conversations.

"Oh.. so that's why you called."

"Yep.."

Zavric sighed in the other line. "I see, you are a bit in trouble man. You are to face an imperilment."

"I know man. That's why i called."

"Well if that's the case.. hindi ako ang dapat mong kausapin tungkol dyan. Wait a minute.." sandali itong nawala. After few seconds ay naka conference call na sila. "Hey Zach. Our friend needs some word of wisdom based on expression itself.."

"Who?" Sagot nito.

"It's me.."

Natigilan ito. "Phoenix? Man.. what's wrong?"

He sighed. "Zavric, tell him."
Agad naman itong nagsalita para sakanya. They knew him. He isn't fond of talking a lot. Except when his talking with his wife.

"Oh i see. That's pretty nerve racking right? Anyways.. that's normal. But in order to earn his trust. You have to be open. Be true to yourself. Let him see your real side. No more pretensions man, take off that mask of yours. Be visible to him. Show him your sincerity. Prove that you can be the right man to his daughter. Not the better one. But the best one for her. And man?"
