Jaehyun

Approaching the gate, I stopped and was about to call out when I found the gate unlocked. I reached for the knob and opened it then went inside.

"Hello?"

No one answered except for the soft sound of the rustling leaves and birds chirping around the place. There's a neighboring house but it's located eight meters away from here, trees and plants all covered the whole area outside the fence.

I walked over to the front porch and reached for the doorknob then twisted it. Finding it open, I pushed the door and walked in.

Just like the exterior, everything inside is all in French interior and in white except for the furniture. The living room is found on the right side with the dining area located in front of it. There's an entrance at the back, probably going to the kitchen, and a staircase at my side going to the second floor of the house.

I close the door behind me and looked around.

"Mr. Kang?"

My parents told me that I'll be staying here with someone. He has been taking care of the house for years since my grandfather bought this place.

"Mr. Ka—"

I almost jumped out from my spot when an old man came out of the kitchen, wearing a brown apron, paint smudge around his clothes.

"Are you Jung's grandson? I didn't know his grandson could look so much like him!"

I immediately bowed in greeting. "Good afternoon Mr. Kang, I'm Jung Yoon Oh, but you can call me Jaehyun"

"Ohoi! No need to be so formal! Your parents called me last week, I wasn't expecting that you'd arrive today, good thing I got everything prepared yesterday. Come, come! Let's get you settled first"

I followed Mr. Kang to the second floor of the house. The second floor is much smaller, with three rooms and a balcony.

Mr. Kang pointed at the first door. "This one is your room. It has its own toilet and bathroom. And the second is the study, you can go there and spend time reading"

He patted my shoulder. "You should rest first Jaehyun, you've come a long way"

He was about to leave but I stopped him immediately.

"Mr. Kang, you forgot to explain the third room"

"Oh" he said and turned to the last door beside the balcony entrance. "Come on, see for yourself"
