Jaehyun

After washing up, I went down again to the back porch where I found Soyoung sitting on one of the chairs, petting a sleeping Lola on her lap.

Soyoung turned to me. "Have your tea, it's already not hot though"

I settled on the chair beside hers. The view of the garden before us.

"The lawn's actually empty back there. It's just flat plain green grass"

"Such a waste" Soyoung answered. "A garden would fit in there. May beautify the place more"

"My grandfather bought the place"

She stopped and then turned to me. I turned to the garden before us. "He bought the house. No one is living in it though, aside from Mr. Kang who's been taking care of it"

Soyoung smiled and continued to pet Lola who curled herself on her lap. "Kang Eun Oh. Min Seok was very fond of him, he would not stop talking about him for hours. He even made me do a list of recipes for Eun Oh since Eun Oh was so curious about the food here. I wasn't able to meet him but from Min Seok's stories, I know that he's a good person just like him" she said then turned to me. "How about you Jaehyun? Do you also have friends?"

I thought about the boys I left in Seoul. I wonder what they're doing right now. Probably practicing again. I scoffed at the thought. "I have a lot of them. We've been together for years now, we work in the same group under the same company"

"Really? What's your work Jaehyun?"

I sheepishly smiled. "An idol. I sing and dance for a job"

"Really? What songs do you dance and play?"

"Wait, I'll show you," I said and pulled my phone out of my pocket. It was no problem that I didn't have a charger with me, my phone stays always on 80% percent. Soyoung stared at the phone in confusion.

"This is an iPhone. It's something like a Telephone but more advanced. You can actually do many things here" I said and turned the screen to her. "Like take pictures and videos. Here's a short video of me and my friends during work"

I played the video before her. It was one of the videos during our guests on one of the music shows. We were in the dressing room, preparing for our turn. We were just talking, Doyoung and Jungwoo again at their usual banter, Yuta and Johnny Hyung talking about their newly painted nails. Taeil Hyung and Haechan just chilling at the side, and Mark and Taeyong Hyung practicing some dance moves in one corner. The room was in full chaos, but it felt like the safest place at that time. The video ended with Haechan joining Doyoung and Jungwoo's banter.

"You love them"

I turned to Soyoung who's been watching me. "It's the way you smile while you watched. You love your friends"

I turned to my phone. "Yeah, I guess I do"

Lola woke up and meowed then stretched up before jumping down from Soyoung's lap and then walking away.

"Don't worry" Soyoung said. "I'll help you go back no matter what"
