Jaehyun

I stare a the ceiling as I lay on the sofa, I couldn't sleep, everything is still bothering me. If I told the boys about this they'd just probably laugh and tell me I need to sleep more but no, I am really here in this goddamn unknown place and I'm stuck here with a stranger. I turned around facing the other side and pulled the covers to my shoulders. Maybe I am just dreaming. This could be a dream.  Closing my eyes, I forced myself to sleep. It took me a few seconds before my body gave up in exhaustion and fell asleep.

It must have been an hour or two but my sleep was cut off as I was woken up by a familiar fur creature. I woke up and turned to the culprit who was staring at me from the floor. Lola's a Turkish van cat with black fur spots on the majority of her body and white fur on her belly. It continued to stare at me and meowed.

"So I'm not in a dream right Lola?"

It just answered me with a meow.

Sighing, I pushed the covers off me and sat up. Good thing when I suddenly magic into this place, my phone was inside my pocket. I took it out. My phone's working fine but just like the other days, it doesn't have any signal. I turned on the screen to see the time.

11:58

I turned to Lola who's now crouching on the floor, its tail moving as it put its head on its paws. I reached for her and petted her head. "Aren't you lonely here Lola?"

It answered me again with another meow before it stood up and walked towards the stairs up to the second floor. I was about to go back to lying when the piano in the music room started to play. It was the same melody.

So that night when I heard it. It was not Mr. Kang?

Was it Soyoung?

I pushed myself off the couch and climbed upstairs. The lights were off but the moon's bright enough outside that its light peeking through the windows was enough to illuminate the place. I walked over to the music room to find the door open and inside was Soyoung playing the piano. Moonlight covered her as she played the keys, eyes with tears.

I stop before the doorpost, Lola appeared beside me and stopped too to watch her owner play the piano.

Hearing it firsthand made the song heavier and seeing the person play it made it more painful. What happened between them and Min Seok?

After the tenth repetition, the song ended and Soyoung closed the piano's lid.

"I'm sorry I woke you up," She said without looking at me.

"I-It's okay, I wasn't sleeping"

She lifted a hand to her face and wiped the tears off her then turned to me and smiled. "Then did Lola woke you up again?"

"What are you Soyoung?"

She wasn't able to answer me at first. Lola walked over to her and settled beside her on the stool as the cat pushed its head slowly on her hand. Soyoung took her and sighed.

"A whisper of something that was long gone"
