They first met in the study room. My grandfather, Minseok, suddenly came out of nowhere. Soyoung was just taking a book out of the shelf when my grandfather appeared in front of her, holding the other side of it. It was the book I saw—The Fairy and the Woodcutter.

Min Seok eventually stayed here for the reason that he was curious about the place and of her. A few days here is just one day in our reality. My grandfather has stayed here for a long time and only missed a few days in our reality. He was able to visit again twice but after his second visit, he wasn't able to come back again. Based on Soyoung's count, it was the day when my grandparents got married, but Kim Soyoung didn't know. Since then, not a single person came into this place, well...until me.

"How does my grandpa do it? Go back to our reality?"

"I wished I could tell you but I really have no idea how he does it. He just appears then disappears the next"

He must have left something in here. A manual or instruction. He should be, I wouldn't be here in the first place if it wasn't for his goddamn will.

"I need to go home"

"I know, I wish I could help you but I really have no idea"

Silence settled over us. I turned to the window beside us to find that the sun was already setting down.

"Is he happy?"

Soyoung's voice was so soft, it was almost down to a whisper that I almost didn't hear her.

"Min Seok. Is he happy with your grandmother?"

I know he wasn't. But just to spite Soyoung and avenged my family's suffering for the past years. I told her a lie.

"Yes"
