Janus sat in his chair, eyeing all the sides surrounding him, as he sunk it all in. His birthday was being celebrated by the light sides, not just Remus, not even just Virgil and Remus which hadn't happened in years, everyone. Including Patton. Janus looked down at some of the presents he had received, telling himself not to cry, since birthdays were dumb celebrations anyway in his mind. I mean a celebration for being born? It's celebrating something you didn't even do, giving you the false reality that your special. Yet, his Golden tinted eyes shimmered in his pupils. The snake like side turned his head to face Patton and Remus, the two who had set this all up. "Oh this doesn't mean anything to me, I hate you both." His lips formed a small pleased look. "Well of course I deserve this every year but, thank you. All of you."
Virgil spat at that "Please don't flatter yourself I didn't even wanna be here-.." He crossed his arms
Janus chuckled "and I love you too Virgil." He countered sarcastically.
Logan did a small nod "now, of course I decided to participate since it would be a bad look on me as logic to not. I purchased you a gift, since you are actually an intellectual side like myself unlike the others I thought to get you something more serious." He handed him a puzzle book and a bottle of wine.
"Oh thank god!" Janus exclaimed when he saw that Logan had gotten him wine. "Someone understands what I want." He looked at the puzzle book as well and thanked Logan.
"Okay move out of the way nerdy wolverine it's my turn! He's my best friend!" Remus cackled and bounced up and down.
Roman scoffed at his brother "hey! He's my nerdy wolverine only I'm allowed to make fun of him! Cause he's my friend!"
Remus stuck his tounge out and just skipped over towards Janus. "Here! Open it! Open it open it open it-" Remus chanted excitedly.
Janus chuckled and opened the box, Remus had gotten him some bones and a book of true crime stories because he knew Janus liked those.
Next and Next all the others gave Janus his gifts, Patton had got him a frog stuffed animal and a matching snake stuffed animal because it was them, along with a cool black and yellow skirt. Roman had gotten him some theatre posters and black and white choker. Even Virgil got him a gift, he got him a yellow snake hoodie and some fishnets.
Janus finally felt home...Loved.
