♡Hinata POV♡
I sat in front of the lake staring deeply at my reflection. I remember, Naruto always came here when he had something on his mind. I came so very often, it made me think of him.
In the reflection, I saw Sasuke walking up to me.
"What is it Sasuke..?" I asked softly.
"Lady Tsunade summoned us for some reason." He stated.
I nodded and followed him to the Hokage's office. Within a few minutes, we opened the door to come in.
"Tsunade~sama." I greeted.
"Good morning, Hinata. I have summoned the both of you here for a mission." She started.
"What type?" Sasuke asked.
"Well, from what I've heard around the village, and your progress as shinobi, I figured I could send you two on a mission on your own." Tsunade explained."
"Wait, w-what..?!" I stuttered.
"Yes, you both have improved greatly, so I am trusting you both with a B-Rank mission." She responded.
We both nodded and waited for the mission instructions.
"Your job is to give a scroll to some Kumogakure (Hidden Cloud) shinobi."
She handed me the scroll we would be transporting and told us to be careful when we make the trade. The scroll we would give them would be exchanged for a weapon.
We then left Lady Tsunade's office. This would be the first mid-rank mission I'd do with only one other person. We were told to start our mission in 3 hours.
I quickly went home to pack anything I'd need for the mission, paper bombs, kunai, string, food pills, I wasn't going to miss a thing.
After I felt ready, I decided to use the remaining time to train my Byakugan.
○Time Skip○
I stood at the gate at noon, waiting for Sasuke to join. It didn't take long, so we started on our journey.
We hopped through the trees at a steady speed occasionally looking at our map to make sure we were going the right way.
We didn't talk much, we just watched each others backs. As we continued, I could see Sasuke getting, anxious about something.
I tried to figure out what it was, maybe the type of mission we were on? Or something else.
"Hinata." Sasuke stated coldly.
"Y-Yeah..?"
He sighed.
"What would you do if..." he paused.
He looked like he was nervous, or even afraid of something. Or that he'd lost someone, or something.
I rested my hand on his shoulder and smiled at him.
"We can do this, okay?"
