Sasuke POV

I had just been released from the Konoha hospital and I was ready to take at least a day to myself before I went to train again. But they had a lead. An idea about my brother. And there was no way in hell that I was going to pass up an opportunity like that.

My information came from hearing snippets of conversations. Rumors about the death of the Four Tails Jinchuriki and rumors about the team who capture them.

Itachi was involved. And he told me where he would be. I'd go alone, this was my fight. The best thing to do afterwards would have been to knock some sense into Naruto. I had a Blazing Chidori, and so far nobody had been able to stop it.

That night I didn't sleep, I prepared instead and before the sun came up; I had left the village. Time to give my life meaning.

-Tsunade POV-

I was surprised. Itachi wasn't an easy person to track down, so there must have been a reason for his arrival. Still, this was our biggest chance of catching another Akatsuki member. I hated to dispatch the main team after they had just gotten back from a mission, but I sent out messenger shinobi to tell them to report to the Hokage Office as soon as possible.

Within 10 minutes, Team Asuma, Team Guy, and the majority of Team 7 had arrived, though Sasuke hadn't shown up yet. I doubted that it was the fault of the messenger, so I waited 5 more minutes until
The messenger arrived.

"Hokage-Sama, I apologize but I haven't been able to find Sasuke Uchiha..."

"Huh?" I shouted exasperatedly. He'd been obsessing over fighting Itachi since he was a little kid and he pulls this crap?!

"I understand, we will just have to find him ourselves, but first, a debriefing of the mission. We have estimated the whereabouts of Itachi Uchiha."

Everyone in the room gasped in shock.

"You're serious..?!" Sakura questioned.

"Absolutely, we have to depart as soon as we find Sasuke, but if we don't find him in time we'll leave. Is that acceptable?"

Ino, Sakura, and Kiba grudgingly nodded.

"Good, now let's go!"

-Sasuke POV-

I stood in front of a large sturdy building. Right in front of my goal, my destination.

If I could defeat my brother...I may have been able to get Naruto back. So I had to try, my clan wants me to finish this!

What greeted me in the building was a massive empty room with nothing but the floor, a ceiling, the walls, a throne, and my brother...

Itachi sat atop the throne with one of his arms falling from the unzipped area of his robe rather than his sleeve.

I glared at him and activated my sharingan

"So you have the eyes now..."

His words were chilling, but I could barely think about that. I rushed at him as soon as I could, and began to battle him in taijustu.
