Goodbye Brother

-3rd Person POV-

Itachi Uchiha took his last breath and fell to the ground. Sasuke's consciousness faded as he was taken by a dark figure.

•Naruto POV•

I heaved an exasperated breath. My curse mark was still active and it had been wreaking havoc ever since I forced myself into using chakra to save Deidara.

Sometimes I'd wake up and be unable to move from the pain of it. But Kurama's was doing his work and soon enough the curse would be gone. Itachi had left on a mission of his own and Deidara was still supposed to be recovering from his injuries in his battle with Sasuke.

And that's why he barged into my room and scared the life out of me.

His expression was concerned and he shouted my name as he hugged me as hard as he could.

"Dei that hUrts" I groaned in pain.

"Naruto, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have done something as stupid as trying to face Sasuke alone and I didn't know what I was thinking until that lightning thing was about to take my head off and I'm not sure what I can do to repay you but thank you so much!"

I took a second to handle to mouthful he'd just said and smiled at him.

"Don't worry Dei," I took his hand in mine and shook it,"You're my best friend, okay?"

He stared at me for a moment before smiling happily and shaking my hand again.

"Hey Naruto, can you walk?" Deidara questioned.

"Yeah, of course I can."

I tried to stand up and almost instantly collapsed. He managed to catch me though.

"My goodness, this curse mark is doing some kind of damage..."

"It isn't very- pleasant."

"We should just kill Orochimaru."

"If you're going to bring Itachi and Kisame with you."

Deidara nodded before he remembered something.

"Oh yeah, Itachi hasn't come back from that mission yesterday. Pain would've told you to go look for him, but I'm sure that with a bit of medicines you and I can go together."

Itachi's absence worries me, he'd always been the one to help me feel better all the time. Not to mention he ended up being really approachable.

"That's doesn't sound like a bad idea. But the only person who would probably have something for Ty curse would be.. Sasori."

Deidara stuttered before stating that it wouldn't have been a problem to ask him He shuffled out of the room and returned around 10 minutes later. His face was more red than usual but he poured what was needed in a cup.

"Woah Deidara, what happened there, you look like a mess." I started, "Oh and I can't exactly pick the cup up so if you could help me out this would be nice."

Deidara obliged and I felt a bit stronger as soon as I finished it.

"Sasori..got really close to my face.." Deidara mumbled.
