The next day...

Twinkle:  Today is Christian's first day at school. I'm hoping you, Cheri and Derek can help his transition. He's going through a lot right now.

Mona:  I'm going to do whatever I can, I know he's going through a lot right now. I'll make sure to check in on him.

Twinkle:  Thank you, sweetheart. You're such a wonderful person.

Mona:  [Giggles]  You're just saying that because you're my mother. I think you're a little biased.

Twinkle:  Not true. Ever since you were small, you've had such a soft heart and you have so much to offer to the world. Which is why I don't understand--

Mona:  Mom, we've been over this. I'll date... one day. I just...

Twinkle:  You're scared. You're scared because of what happened to me when I was in high school.

Mona:  How can I not be? I don't know what I'd do if I got pregnant right now and I don't know the first thing about relationships or romance.

Twinkle:  Well, if you're truly not ready or interested, that's okay. I just don't want you to miss out on the most wonderful things in life because of me... or because you're scared.

Mona:  Well, I've also never really been interested in someone, take you for instance. You and dad have been in love since you were very young. You were like destined to be together and there's no one like that in my life. [Crosses arms] I see the smile that comes over your face when you see him. Even 15 years later, no one has ever gotten my heart racing like that.

Twinkle:  Well, then you haven't met the right person.

Mona:  How will I know when I meet the right person?

Twinkle:   Well, a racing heart is a good start, butterflies in your stomach, and a desperate need to be with him, talk to him... you'll just know.

Mona:  Hmm... either way, I don't see it in the cards for me at this point.

Twinkle:  Speaking of "seeing things in the cards"... I have to get to work, Blair's going to spend the day with me there.

Mona:  Give her my best.

Twinkle:  I will, sweetie. Let me know how Christian's first day goes.

Mona:  Will do. Are you okay, mom? You look a little pale...

Twinkle:  Oh um... I'm fine. Just a little tired.

Mona:  Okay...

(Twinkle leaves off to work.)

I better get dressed, maybe something cute... just for me, of course. [Switches outfit]  Oh, I love this outfit! I'm gonna be turning a few heads for sure. Now I'm ready to go!

At school...

Derek:  Hi, Cheri. You look nice today.

Cheri:  Do I? Good. I just found out Tyler is in my PE class.

Mona:  Erm, Cheri... are you sure about Tyler? He's kind of known to be a womanizer.

Cheri:  You sound like a broken record, Mona. Of course I'm sure and what's wrong with a man who has a little experience?
