Liam:  Hey! Watch where you're going! You just walked right into me, ya jerk!

Christian:  Oh, I'm sorry. Wait... no, I'm not.

Liam:  What did you just say?

Christian:  You heard me.

Liam:  You know, I'm getting really tired of your attitude... I don't know how or why Mona wants to be your friend.

Christian:  Yeah, well... there's a lot you don't know about Mona and me.

Liam:  What are you trying to say?

Christian:  I'm trying to say that I know all about how she friend-zoned you--

Liam:  Why you little--

(Mona comes running in.)

Mona:  Both of you, stop it! You're going to get yourselves expelled! Christian, please! Don't do this to your mother. She's already going through so much!

Liam:  Stay out of my face, Christian! Or I swear to god, I'll kill you next time. [Walks off]

Christian:  See that? He's a total jerk who doesn't deserve an ounce of your consideration.

Mona:  Why would you do something so stupid as to get in a fight? What were you thinking?!

Christian:  Don't worry about me, Mona. Go find Liam and coddle him instead. [Walks away angerly]

(Mona's friends come up...)

Derek:  What happened?

Cheri:  I thought you settled this whole triangle business.

Mona:  Well, Christian asked me to go to the homecoming together - as friends.

Cheri:  He did?!

Mona:  But I turned him down, I told him I had also turned Liam down, so I'd better go alone... and then Christian got upset, and we just ended up fighting.

Derek:  I told you, he's jealous.

Cheri:  Whatever his reasons are, that was stupid. They're lucky no teachers were around...

Mona:   I know! I hate to think what it would do to Blair if Christian started getting into trouble again.

Cheri:  It will be fine...

Mona:  I just wish I weren't going to homecoming at all. The whole situation is spinning out of control.

Cheri:  Look, don't say that. All this drama will die down and speaking of... Derek, do you want to go to homecoming with me? We could keep Mona company and make sure she's not bothered by anyone.

Derek:  Oh, um... yeah. Sure. Whatever.

Cheri:  Great. I'll see you two after class. [Walks off with a wave]

Mona:  WHOA!

Derek:  Oh my god. Did that just happen?

Mona:  [Claps a lot]

Derek:  [Giggles] Okay, okay. Don't make it such a big deal!

Mona:  It's a huge deal! You've got a date with Cheri, and you didn't even have to do the asking.

Derek:  Yeah, that was a surprise... but now I need your help. I know you're distracted with the whole Liam and Christian thing... but do you think you can help me find an outfit for the dance?
