Weeks passed, and so did our midterms. Never before have I waited for Thanksgiving break with so much anticipation... I memorized the right maps, the emergency numbers, and even read a survival guide. My dad insisted on the guide, he also got us a very sturdy rental car so we would be extra safe on the road and so, after all those crazy preparations... Christian and I were all set to go.
Okay, I can already tell that this trip is going to be really special to me, so I need to find the right outfit. [Changes] Hmm. This is comfy, but I'd prefer something that's pretty too... especially since I'll be traveling with Christian. Actually, this is fine enough for a car ride... and finally to retouch my hair... and now all that's left to do is to say my goodbyes.
Twinkle: Do you have your cell phone car charger?
Mona: Check.
Shawn: How about your new emergency credit card?
Mona: Check.
Twinkle: License?
Mona: Check.
Shawn: List of stops and addresses of police stations?
Mona: Check.
Twinkle: Sweatshirts? It's going to get really cold.
Mona: [Crosses arms] Check.
Shawn: Mace? Pocket knife?
They're impossible.
Mona: You guys, I have everything. [Giggles] We've been over all this a dozen times.
Twinkle: Sorry. I'm just so anxious... but I know this is the right thing to do. Mrs. Lee needs us.
Mona: I don't want you worrying about me, mom. You shouldn't be out of bed.
Twinkle: There was no way I wasn't coming down here to see you off.
Shawn: Promise to text or call twice a day? And that you'll let us know you're okay and your exact whereabouts?
Mona: I promise. I know how worried you guys get, I'm not going to leave you hanging.
Twinkle: Thank you.
Mona: And you let me know if anything happens with the baby... and when you get your results.
Twinkle: I will.
Mona: I'll miss you both.
Twinkle: We'll miss you too. Oh, look, Christian and Blair have arrived.
Blair: Now, do you have your--
Christian: Come on, mom. We went over everything on the ride over... I have all I need. Including a list of your warnings running through my head.
Blair: Good. Look out for Mona, there are a lot of strange folks out there.
(Mona comes over.)
Mona: I think I should be the one looking out for Christian.
Christian: Ready to roll?
Mona: It's time to go! I am bursting at the seams with excitement! This trip is going to be awesome.
Christian: Yeah it will!
