Melissa sat reading a book when Damon walked in. "Damon." She hugging her best friend before backing away. "What's wrong?" She asked.

"Klaus had Caroline and Tyler locked away for the ritual." He tells her. "Their safe if that's what your wondering, but Tyler bit me."

"No." She said as she looked at the bite and looked at Sylvester. "Please tell me there is a cure."

Sylvester saw the tears in her eyes and walked over. "He's truly your friend?"

"His like a brother." She tells him.

"I'll help since you kept my mate safe, but I will warn you now. Hurt her in any form, I won't hesitate to rip your heart out." He tells Damon.

Damon nodded and left as Melissa looked at Katherine. "Now what have you done to Jenna." She said as her eyes turned red making Katherine gulp.

Sylvester left with Melissa as she couldn't let Jenna die. Melissa and Sylvester stopped as they heard someone asking if they were hungry. "Greta." He tells Melissa. "She's the witch he needs."

"Will my magic over run hers?" She asked.

"I don't know." He said. "Your the first dark witch that anyone has met. We also believed it was a legend. A myth."

"Till you met me." Melissa said. "Sylvester, why are you helping me instead of your brother."

Sylvester moved her blonde hair from her face. "I want you to see who is actually on your side. The ones you can trust."

Melissa nodded as she still wondered why he was trying to prove that to her. They walked out just for Klaus to rip out Jenna's heart. "No!" She cried out as Elena looked at her.

"Melissa?"

Greta started to cast a spell on Melissa making her glare. "I wouldn't do that bitch." She said as her eyes glowed red making Greta look at Klaus.

"Brother, control your mate."

"Why should I?" He said. "She's just pissed that you killed a mother figure."

Melissa watched as the fire around Jules dropped and for her to attack Klaus. She watched as his hand went through her chest causing her to look away. "Elena."

"No."

Melissa looked to see Stefan. "Stefan?" She asked as she didn't see him there.

Melissa turned as she heard "go to hell" and saw Klaus feeding off Elena. "I will..."

"No." Sylvester said holding her back. "He will kill you."

Melissa looked at him helplessly as her friend died. She turned away not wanting to see anymore till she heard chanting and Sylvester bending over in pain. Melissa fell to her knees before she raised up with her eyes red. "Melissa."

The blonde didn't say a word as she shielded Sylvester from the spell. "You can't harm me without harming her and making her mad."

Elijah stepped out and looked at his brothers. Bonnie kept chanting the spell. Sylvester knew what Elijah had planned. He grabbed Melissa and disappeared.
