Twenty four

Sylvester went back to Melissa's house with a gift. Tonight, his mother was hosting a ball and he was going to spend time with his mate. He shut the door and heard silence meaning that she was asleep. He walked into the living room to see Melissa and Caroline sound asleep on the couch. "Mel?"

"Hmm?"

"Why is she here?"

"She apologized for everything is going to tell us what Elena and the others are planning." She tells him as she saw a box. "What's that for?"

He handed her the box over causing her to open it. She gasped at the red dress and looked at him. "I want the two of us to have the best night of our lives." He tells her. "Since the Salvatores woke mother up, she wants to have a ball."

"Oh." She says. "Is that a good idea?"

"I have no clue, darlin'." He says causing her to smile.

Later that day, Melissa was fixing her hair as Sylvester had to go meet up with his family. She looked at her dress that laid on the bed and walked over to it. Red with black on it. She couldn't believe Sylvester went out of his way to get her a dress. She saw something else and picked it up. A beautiful necklace. "He didn't have to do that."

"Did you know that Klaus got me a dress and asked me to save him a dance?"

Melissa laughed as she turned around as she looked at her friend. "Caroline, I believe that man is in love with you."

"Melissa, I love Tyler."

"I know, but Klaus can't help himself. Trust me. I learned a lot from Sylvester and those two are just a like." She looked at Caroline. "Go and who knows, maybe Klaus is the one to steal your heart and treat you right."

Caroline nodded as her relationship with Tyler is on hold as he is trying to get away fromKlaus's sirebond. Melissa knew she didn't trust Tyler since he has been gone for awhile. The blonde looked at her hair and sighed. "I'll help you." Caroline says. "Thank you for having this talk with me."

"You're confused and that is fine." She says. "Just make sure that Tyler is the one and that he treats you right. I don't need you getting hurt."

Caroline smiled as she knew Melissa was right. She knows the feelings of betrayal because of their old friends, but they have one another still. The two blondes looked in the mirror and smiled. It's perfect.

When it was time for the ball, Melissa and Caroline made a grand entrance causing everyone to see the two best friends back together. Damon, Stefan, and Elena saw the two and wondered why Caroline was with Melissa. Sylvester saw the one woman he has been waiting for and excused himself from the conversation to be with his mate. "You look amazing." He says and looks at Caroline. "Caroline, you look beautiful."

"Thank you, Sylvester." She says. "I'm getting me a drink."

Melissa laughed as they saw Klaus walking over. "Where did lovely Caroline go?"

"She saw you coming and left to get her a drink." She says. "Welp, I'm going to do the same."

Sylvester kissed Melissa before she walked away leaving him and Klaus behind. Caroline handed Melissa a drink as Elena walked over to them. "You forgave Caroline, but not the rest of us. Why?"

"Do you have to know everything?" She asked. "But since you asked. Caroline came to me crying about her father and said that she should have never listened to you. You ruined everything. Our friendship is the main one." Caroline grabbed her hand.

"Mel, your magic."

Melissa didn't say a word as she ran off to calm down. She never saw the Mikaelsons on the stairs. Sylvester knew something happened and he was going to go talk to his mate.

Melissa sat outside with her eyes closed as Sylvester walked over to her. She looked at him and didn't say a word as she kissed him. Sylvester held her tight as they pulled back. They both were breathing heavy before reconnecting. Sylvester rushed them to the horse carriage that was just sitting around. He unzipped the back of her dress causing Melissa to take his clothes off.

Caroline and Klaus walked out of the ball to find Melissa and Sylvester when they saw the horse carriage rocking. "I believe we found them."

"Ew." Caroline says as she went to look at the horse.

Klaus knew Elena said something to upset Melissa, but Sylvester and the dark witch can't stop having sex. Melissa looked at Sylvester. "I love you."

"I love you."
