Twenty one

Melissa woke up and looked at her phone to see no messages from Rebekah. She had this feeling that Elena did something. Hearing a noise from downstairs, the blonde got out of bed and walked downstairs to see who it was. "Hello?" She says. "Rebekah, is that you?"

"I don't think I'm Rebekah, but I believe I'm much better."

Melissa turned around to see Sylvester. She couldn't believe he was here as she ran to him. Sylvester hugged her as the pain of being apart was finally over. "They are definitely up to something. I haven't heard from Rebekah."

"They released Mikael. The one person that Klaus is afraid of."

Melissa pulled away as she looked at Sylvester. She was scared for him. Sylvester kissed her as he wasn't going to let anyone harm his mate. Picking her up, Sylvester rushed to the couch where they made up for lost time.

Later that day, Melissa got a message from someone at school saying that the homecoming dance was moved to Tyler's house. She looked in the mirror at herself as she has been wanting to wear that dress since they left Chicago. Sylvester looked at her as she checked the dress out in the mirror. "I think it's lovely, my love."

Melissa looked at him smiling. "It's just....tonight was supposed to be fun. To spend time with friends, but I realized..." Melissa sighed. "I only have you."

Getting out of bed, Sylvester put his arms around her. "You'll always have me, my love." He says kissing her head. "No one can tear us apart."

Melissa smiled as she was glad to have met someone that makes her day better. "I love you, Sylvester."

He turned her around causing her dress to move with her twirl. "You mean that." She nodded. "I love you, Melissa."

Melissa kissed him causing Sylvester to move to her neck. The blonde closed her eyes as she was letting Sylvester feed from her. She moaned as she felt his teeth sink into the skin of her neck. Her eyes brightened as if they were completing the bond all over again.

The two arrived at the Lockwoods to see a party was in full swing, Sylvester looked at Melissa as she looked like she didn't really want to be here. "How about we ditch?" He says causing Melissa to look up. "If they truly released Mikael, I don't want to be here and neither should you."

"Let's go." She says. "I rather be with you anyways."

Sylvester saw his brother who nodded. Melissa doesn't need to be here. She could be used and him and Sylvester won't allow Melissa to be harmed. That was a promise. She's a Mikaelson now.
