Sixteen

Melissa walked with Sylvester into a bar. She saw Klaus talking to a woman about why his hybrids keep dying. Melissa sat at the bar as Sylvester got behind her. She leaned against him as he moved her hair from her neck. Klaus watched as Sylvester for the first time bit Melissa's neck causing her to close her eyes in pleasure. "What is he doing?" Stefan asked.

"Completing one step in the mating process."

"What's the next step?" He asked.

Gloria looked at them. "She's already doing the next step. Drinking his blood." Sylvester pulled away and bit his wrist. Melissa looked at him before taking his wrist into her mouth to drink. "They don't know that they just completed two steps."

"What's the final step?" Klaus asked.

"Sex, but be warned. When that time comes, they can't be separated. Their bond will be too strong." Gloria said. "I'm surprised you didn't know this, Klaus. Every witch known to mankind knows about Sylvester and his mate. They will be powerful."

"How?" Stefan asked.

"She hears voices right?" Klaus nodded. "It's the witches obeying her, they're warning her about something. Sylvester is the only one to understand her. Better watch out and don't cross her. She will kill you with a blink of an eye."

"Do you believe what Gloria said?" She asked him.

"I think I do." He said. "We didn't know that we were doing two steps, but something tells me that the next time we are alone, we will finish the bond."

Melissa nodded. "I've never had sex." She tells him.

Sylvester looked at her. "Hey." He said getting her to look at him. "When it's time for us, we will do the final step. Just let me know."

Melissa nodded as she saw Damon. "Something's not right."

"No and you might be finding out the truth."

Melissa looked at the blonde as they sat down at a table. The two saw Damon about to turn to face them causing Melissa to kiss Sylvester. He was shocked by the sudden move, but kissed back. Damon looked at the two blondes before leaving. They pulled back and looked at Gloria. "He's here for Stefan."

"I think he has someone with him. Someone who wants Stefan back."

Melissa looked at Sylvester wondering who.

Instead of going to the storage unit where the other Mikaelson siblings were at to see if someone woke up yet, Sylvester stayed behind watching Melissa practice her magic. "You're doing amazing, love."

Melissa smiled when Klaus, Stefan and some blonde girl walked back in. "Sylvester?"

"Rebekah, I would like you to meet Melissa."

"The mate?" They nodded.

"Just don't piss her off." Gloria warned. "Meet the dark witch all the witches thought was a myth."

Rebekah looked at Melissa as she was eating. "Can we go shopping? I need new clothes."

Melissa was looking around as the boys drunk wine. She walked out in a dress catching Sylvester's attention. "How does it look?"

"Stunning." Sylvester said.

"Where's Stefan?"

"Who knows?" Sylvester said. "Let's get you food. Rebekah wants to feed."

Melissa nodded as they left. Klaus went to find Gloria to see if they had any answers.

When she walked back, Stefan looked at Melissa. "What's going on?"

"They betrayed you, Melissa." Sylvester said as he held Stefan by the throat.

"They wouldn't do that. They're my friends." Melissa says.

Sylvester gives her a look as Klaus walked over to her. "Elena's alive, love."

Melissa looked at Stefan in disbelief as Sylvester snapped his neck. "I guess my only true friends are you guys." She said. "Let's go home."
