Hey guys! Long time since we last spoke 😕
But I'm here with an update!
Hope y'all enjoy!
This was a request btw so hope you enjoy hun!
Stay safe lovies xx"And that is 3 consecutive losses for Liverpool at Anfield. What has gone wrong with the champions?" I roll my eyes at the commentators, huffing and puffing, disappointed with another loss for Liverpool. I look at my TV screen to see my husband, Xherdan, walking off the field, shaking his head, disappointment written all over his face.
I felt bad for him. Finally being able to play for his dream team but then getting hit with injury after injury. And now that he is finally fit, he is out of form. As much as I tried to talk with him, he didn't wanna hear it, telling me how being out of form was no excuse.
I feel as if Xherdan was afraid that he would be loaned out or sold for good. I mean, the team spoke about it often and many rumors spread, so I think that was always playing in the back of his mind. I sit down at my TV for quite awhile, watching the interviews and the start of he next game. I feel my eyes becoming heavy, wanting Xherdan to return home soon so I could go to bed.
As if on que, the front door opens as quietly as possible, but ends up making a loud creak. Got to love buying an old farm house. Xherdan makes his way to the Tv room and gives me a not very convincing smile. "Hey hun. You okay?" I question, already knowing the answer. "No, not exactly." He says as he makes his way and plonks down next to me on the couch.
"Its okay, babe. You guys will get through this." I say as I grab his hand and rub it gently. "I know, its just... Its tough seeing these results and how disheartened the boys are. Jurgen is struggling as well as his mother passed away. It just seems as if this team is falling apart, all because of a few god damn injuries." He finishes as he shakes his head, trying his best not to cry of burst into a fit of rage, despite him not often getting angry.
"I know, hun. But everything will work out soon. You guys have had bad injuries this season, but hopefully they piss off by next season." I say with a slight chuckle. "But if they do, then when do I play?" He questions whilst looking into my eyes. His eyes have become a little more glossy as his bottom lips quivers ever so slightly.
"Oh babe." I say as I push myself up and straddle his waist, pulling him into a long and tight hug. "Don't stress yourself out. I promise that whatever is meant to happen, will happen. I'm almost certain you will remain in the club for a long time. And if not, then so what? Then you go and flourish at another team because I can safely say that almost every team will want you because you are an amazing footballer. So, stop stressing yourself out and focus on the now. Don't do a me. You know how I always stress for no reason and its never given me any good." I say as he chuckles, knowing exactly what I meant.
"What would I do without you, Y/N." He says, making my cheeks heat up just a little bit. "I love you, Mr Shaqiri." I say as I lean forward and press my lips to his. "I love you too, Mrs Shaqiri." He says once he has pulled away from the kiss. We rest our foreheads on each others, just getting lost in each others eyes.
"Ready for bed?" He questions as I nod my head, "I'm exhausted. I don't know why you guys play so late." I say as I stand up whilst Xherdan chuckled softly to himself. "So when are we seeing your mom and dad again?" I ask Xherdan as we walk upstairs. "Soon, I think. I think they will be coming to the UK soon for business so then we can have dinner again like last time." He says as we reach our bedroom. "I could use another girls day out with your mom." I say as I jump on the bed and pull the covers over my body.
Xherdan quickly gets dressed, pulling a pair of shorts on with a long sleeve black shirt and climbs into bed himself. He pulls me close to his body, instantly warming me up as I snuggle further into his chest. "Thanks for everything, Y/N." He says, causing me to smile. "Anything for my favorite person." And with that, we both drift off into a deep sleep.
