I woke up to the sun peaking over the mountains around Vail.  Before I knew it, a blinding light made it's way through my window as I sat up.  It was officially my birthday, and I was excited to go see one of my best friends, Aimie.  Aimie has lung cancer that she's had for a long time.  It hasn't done anything substantial for a while, so she just been living in solitude with her dad, David, and brother, Andrew.  Andrew is younger than Aimie by a year, so I'm pretty good friends with him too.  Their mother, Elsa, is always away for work.  She is an FBI profiler and never seems to be home.  I haven't seen her in years.

I hopped up from my bed with a dash and picked out a simple outfit before quickly bounding down the hallway, almost running into Brian who was coming out of his room.

"Woah!" he exclaimed.  "Slow down, Skippy Lou!"  I turned back to him, grabbing a towel from the linen closet in the process.

"I can't!  I'm going to see Aimie today!" I swung open the bathroom door and quickly shut it behind me, turning on the shower.  I stripped down and hopped in, not wasting any time.  I wanted to be ready as soon as possible so I could head over to Aimie's house.  I washed myself, not bothering with shaving my legs, and my hair needed a quick wash.  After one of the most rapid showers I've taken in my entire life, I slipped on my clothes and headed back to my room with a towel wrapped around my head.

"How do you do that?" I heard Brian ask.  I spun around on my heels to see him standing outside his door with a towel in his hand.

"Do what?" I questioned, confused.  He gave me a thoughtful look, almost as if he needed to think about what he was going to say.

"The snail thing with the towel," he finally clarified.  I couldn't hold back the laugh that bubbled up from inside me.  I put my hand against the wall as I tried to control my laughter to only fail miserably.  Brian continued to look at me with a small grin on his face, but he wasn't really laughing.  He was totally serious.

"Oh, you actually want to know," I said.  He nodded slowly.  I quickly regained my composure before setting my old pajamas on the floor and walking over to him, taking the towel from his hand.  "Bend over," I commanded.  He gave me a puzzled look.  I rolled my eyes and pushed his head to the floor.  He quickly obeyed.  I set the towel on the back of his head and twisted it up, tucking the end into the back so it would stay easier.  He stood up and looked at me wide-eyed.  He set his hands on his head with awe.

"Oh my god," he whispered.  I rolled my eyes as he bolted into his room and shut the door.  I picked my clothes back up and went back into my room.  I took my hair out of the towel so it wouldn't dry all weird.  I realized that I had forgotten to text the boys and let them know that I'm not dead, so I did so, not caring about the time difference.  It's all discombobulated anyways.  I checked the time on my world clock.  It was around 2:00 AM tomorrow in Sydney while it was only about 8:00 AM here.

I sat on my bed, scrolling through Tumblr for a little while until Michael texted me back.  Of course.  I bet he was having a video game marathon with himself.

Mikey ;):  glad to see you aren't dead :)

Jordan:  Yeah, I thought I was going to though.  I got really drunk the other night.  What are you doing up this early?

Mikey ;):  playing fifa.

I told you!

Jordan:  Why am I not surprised?

Mikey ;):  i don't see why you would be.  you are a weird person to text.

Jordan:  Why?
